DAY 2 - WEDNESDAY, 11 MAY 2016

10:30AM MEET IN LOBBY OF MONACO HOTEL PHILADELPHIA 10:30AM DEPART FOR CITY TOUR A tour of center city and historic Philadelphia to view Independence Hall, the Avenue of the Arts, concluding with a drive through the tree-lined Ben Franklin Parkway. Modeled after the ChampsElysees, the Parkway, now known as "Museum Mile," is home to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Rodin Museum and the Barnes Foundation.


12:00PM LUNCH - No visit to Philadelphia is complete without a stop at Pat’s Steaks, home of the famous Philadelphia Cheesesteak, a prerequisite for politicians and celebrities alike.

1:00PM MURAL ARTS TOUR lead by Jane Golden, Executive Director of the Mural Arts Program. The program is currently one of Philadelphia's largest employers of artists, employing over 300 artists a year.

4:00PM COCKTAIL RECEPTION LOCKS GALLERY Founded in 1968, the Locks Gallery represents an international group of critically respected modern and contemporary artists working in a variety of disciplines.

5:30PM PRIVATE VIEWING AT SNYDERMAN GALLERY – Showcase for studio furniture, art glass, fiber, ceramics and jewelry by contemporary artists.

6:30PM PRIVATE DINNER AT CENTER FOR ART IN WOOD – The preeminent arts and education organization advancing the growth, awareness, appreciation and promotion of artists and the creation and design of art in wood and wood in combination with other materials.

Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Conductor, Lang Lang, piano. Renowned for its distinctive sound, desired for its keen ability to capture the hearts and admired for an unrivaled legacy of “firsts” in music.

10:00AM VISIT TO THE BARNES FOUNDATION – A private behind the scenes look at the Barnes, its founder Albert Barnes, his collaborator, Violette de Mazia, and the Foundation’s philosophical roots. Recently moved to "Museum Mile" on Ben Franklin Parkway, it is a must see for art lovers with an exceptional collection of Renoir, Cezanne, and Matisse.

12:00PM TOUR OF THE RODIN MUSEUM – Contains the largest collection of sculptor Auguste Rodin outside Paris.

1:30PM LUNCH AT THE ART ALLIANCE OF PHILADELPHIA – A multidisciplinary arts center in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. It is the oldest multidisciplinary arts center in the United States for visual, literary and performing arts.

Please retain a copy of these General Terms and Conditions for your records. Tour Cost: Total tour cost is $2199.00 per person, double occupancy. The No-Hotel Option is $1600 per person. The single supplement is $575.00. Tour costs, which are based on a group size of 20 participants, are subject to change. Cost of Tour Includes: 4 nights' accommodations in Hotel Monaco, Philadelphia or similar; meals and sightseeing as described, including all entrance fees; private motor coach transportation; and gratuities for local guides, dining room servers, hotel porters, and all drivers. Cost of Tour DOES NOT Include: Round trip air or land travel to and from Philadelphia, airport transfers, personal expenses such as beverages, laundry-room service, and meals and beverages not specified; airline baggage fees; communication charges; airline transfers; optional sightseeing; and travel insurance. Cancellations: All deposits are non-refundable. No refunds or cancellations once final payment is made. Travel insurance is highly recommended. Without limiting the foregoing. The Renaissance Academy of FGCU, Leslie Carroll Designs in Travel, LLC. and their affiliates are not responsible for any losses or expenses due to delay or changes in schedule, overbooking of accommodations, default of any third parties, sickness, weather, strikes, acts of God, acts of terrorism, war, quarantine, criminal activity, the defect of any vehicle or for any other cause beyond their control. The Renaissance Academy of FGCU reserves the right to change the itinerary of the tour or to substitute similar quality hotels or without prior notice. If the tour is cancelled by The Renaissance Academy of FGCU for any reason, The Renaissance Academy of FGCU, Leslie Carroll Designs in Travel, LLC. and their affiliates shall have no liability beyond the return of all tour participant deposits received by them, net of any and all expenses due to suppliers and the airline refund policies. The Renaissance Academy of FGCU, in its sole discretion, may increase the tour price in the event costs increase. The Renaissance Academy of FGCU may decline to accept or retain any tour participant as a participant on the tour at any time. Airline tickets represent the sole contract between the carriers and the passenger and shall constitute the sole contract between the passenger and the supplier. The Renaissance Academy of FGCU and Leslie Carroll Designs in Travel LLC. shall not have any liability for any loss resulting from cancellation of or changes to this tour. The parties agree that Ft. Myers (Lee County) in the state of Florida shall be the venue for any disputes arising out of this tour. A signed FGCU General Release and Waiver Agreement is required from each participant prior to departure.
