WE’VE EARNED TOP GENERAL HOSPITAL AWARD FOR QUALITY FOR SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR Highlighting its nationally recognized achievements in patient safety and quality, Florida Hospital North Pinellas was named a Top General Hospital by The Leapfrog Group for the second time, the only Tampa Bay area hospital to receive the award for the past two years. The Top Hospital designation is awarded by The Leapfrog Group, an independent hospital watchdog organization, and only 45 hospitals nationwide received the 2017 Top General Hospital distinction.

2017

“We are extremely proud to have earned the prestigious Top General Hospital award for the second consecutive year and achieve an honor awarded to only 45 hospitals throughout the nation,” said Tricia Williams, Florida Hospital North Pinellas President and CEO. “This achievement would not be possible without the focus and dedication our staff and physicians have for providing our patients with the highest level of quality care.” The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive honors American hospitals can receive. Performance across many areas of hospital care is considered in establishing the qualifications for the award, including infection rates, maternity care, and the hospital’s capacity to prevent medication errors. The rigorous standards are defined in each year’s Top Hospital Methodology.

recognized by the Women’s Choice Awards America’s Best Hospitals for Patient Safety and Heart Care. This is the second consecutive year FHNP was awarded for Heart Care. Thank you to all of our staff for providing award winning care to our patients.
