Out of 118 students polled 87% said they will watch Netflix (or a similar streaming service) over spring break. Out of that 87%, 72% of those students recommended a TV show. The other 28% had no show to recommend. The top 4 shows are listed above.

Spring streams popular shows Upcoming break allows for extended binge watching

Over spring break, it is likely some will _atch 6etÆ i` or a similar streaming platform. A 2016 study by Ericsson ConsumerLab found that people spend an average of  minutes trying to fi nd something to _atch on 6etÆ i` and 0ulu, or even up_ards of  minutes on 0*7 /o. 0ere are some spoilerfree recommendations from the streaming services and students alike.

And the episodes are pretty lengthy with a run time of about  minutes. 1t¼s mainly a survivalaction Sind of sho_, and it¼s Yuite easy to get attached to one character over the seasons,” sophomore 5elvin 4opeb said. ¹1 don¼t Sno_ ho_ but 1 someho_ managed to binge fi ve seasons in one _eeS during fi nals.”

7ther sho_s have a longterm plot to follo_ through multiple seasons, such as ¹A7=,” a sho_ about a bookstore owner stalking an author. Another popular show with a continuous plot through its seasons is ¹;tranger <hings,” about a

group of friends dealing with paranormal forces and a secretive government organibation in ! s Indiana. Others may prefer more comedic and episodic shows.

¹5y favorite sho_ is »*rooSlyn 6ine6ine,¼ chieÆ y due to the fact that it¼s group of main characters are e`tremely relatable,” sophomore Usmaan Saifuddin said. “I know someone who is represented almost perfectly for most of the characters, which brings the level of comedy up signifi cantly.”

Another appeal of streaming platforms such as 6etÆ i` and 0ulu are their large catalogue of retro sho_s. )nything from ¹;einfeld” and ¹Cheers,” to ¹<he <_ilight Bone” and ¹;tar <reS” are available to binge.
