s
ixth Formers at Francis Holland School, near Clarence Gate in Regent’s Park, NW1 jumped for joy as they celebrated fantastic A-level results. 18.8% achieved the new A* and 98.21% grades A-C. There were A and A* grades too in the Extended Project, which is worth half an A-level. Girls are heading off to a range of top universities including Oxford to read English and also Chemistry. UCL has proved popular this year; Jessica Fletcher, who gained 600 UCAS points with 3A*, A and A in her Extended Project will be reading English there, and other
chosen courses include Mechanical Engineering, Physics with Space Science, Law and Economics. GCSE results were also extremely impressive, up on last year, with 72.4% of all results at A* and A grades and 34.9% A*s. Many pupils achieved 10 or more A*s. Mrs Vivienne Durham, the Headmistress said: “The results this year are excellent and testament to the commitment and hard work of the girls and our teachers. Competition for university places has been fiercer than ever so I am delighted the girls have been so successful in achieving their chosen university places.”
