Pixellate Farm
An Experimental Way to Bring Farm Back to the City Tutor: Kurnia Widyastuti, S.T, M.T.
Indonesia was an agrarian country where agriculture had an important role in people’s daily life. But now, along with flow of modernization and urbanization, farming activity is no longer the main concern in this country. Moreover the number of the farms and the farmers are decreasing continously. it is inversely related to the population of the dwellers that keep growing. the problem is not only about how to increase the productivity, but also how to increase public awareness of agricultura and food issues. Related to that issues, one of the strategies for reintroducing and increasing public awareness about agriculture is to build an agricultural park. not only become an educate an recreation facility, the park also can give contribution to the national food production.

A 3X4 HOUSE TO IMPROVE THE CITY The lack of land avaibility and the high price of housing are common problems faced by many people who live in Jakarta, especially the commuting workers. in the other hand, a house should be a personal property that reflect it’s inhabitants who usually have different characteristics one and another. These issues drive us to rethink how a housing design can be affordable and flexible at once, so it’s not only can be reached by boarder segment of society but also can be developed according to the future needs of each inhabitants. The house designed is also expected to give a positive impact on the environment and change people’s lifestyle to be better and healthier.

Portable Stair Detail Placing a stair in a small space sometimes causes problems like reducing functional floor area and shaping an unused excess space. Hence, stairs in this house in designed with a knockdown system so it’s beportable, adjustable, and flexible in various daily functions. for example, If we want to watch TV ,we can simply move the stair and get a spacious and clearer space for it. In other hand, we can put the stair and make an additional bed on the landing.
Portable kitchen set is placed under the floor and designed with sliding system so it can be pulled out and put back as needed
Deck on the front porch is used as an extention of the transition space so it become more spacious and accommodate more activity
An additional board / door in the main bedroom is used not only to keep the privacy of its users but also to make the room more spacious at certain times
When it’s raining, the glass roof can be moved down to reduce the water splash. while in sunny day, it can be opened for air circulation

+ Planning
Tutor: Ir. Adi Utomo Hatmoko, M.Arch., IAI
Many people think that architecture student are individual and anti-social. In otherside, It’s quite difficult to introduce architecture to others as we’re so busy with our task and have no time to socialize. Related to that issue, we need to redesign our campus to be more friendly so it can also introduce what architecture really is. This campus building is designed to give visitor many space and visual experience so they can understand by themselves how’s life in architecture, what we did, and what we produce.

Temumpuk
The Future Typology of Kampung Living
Team: Kevin Oscar | Alfian Reza | Ardea D | Virginia | Mega Kurniawati | Ahmad Muarif | Mentari Mufidati | Dio Asmandaru
Vertical housing is one of the solutions to overcome population density. But for the village / kampong community, it is not that easy. They have cultures and traditions that sometimes can not be accommodated in a regular vertical housing. “Temumpuk is a new typology that combines modern vetical dwelling with the pattern of kampong living where people like to gather and interact each other.
In Yogyakarta, there are many residential housing sprawl in the riverside which coming as the result of the lack of land avaibility and the high price of housing near the city center. that is the problem that lead people, especially newcomers to build house irresponsibly near the river, even over the setback which is so unsave for them. Related to that issue, we deicide to redesign a vertical social housing around the Code Riverside.
Densely populated housing on the existing site causes the decrease of green area
Move the densely populated housing to a vertical tower to minimize the land use
Existing settlements are used as green areas, public facilities and nodes (gathering points) to accommodate the activities of the residents.
The solid tower is split into three building masses to allow wind circulation and natural day light .
cut the mass randomly and give some greeneries to form pocket gardens that can be use as a public space for the residents.
Analysing common circulation path on site using UCL Depthmap. Red lines indicate major / main circulation and the green ones indicate minor
2nd floor plan | commercial
Public facilities are provided on every five floors to support the needs of residents consisting of markets, department stores, public open spaces, worship, etc.
The main circulation path then be used as a pattern to design the main pedestian road
The main building is placed among the main circulations for easy access and the remaining space can be use as public space .
12nd floor plan | Residential
10th floor plan | Public Facilities
Sunlight and air circulation enter the building through the pores of the building in the form of a green public space on each floor. Hot air will move up through the void area in the middle of the building.
the building is designed to be able to absorb rainwater in place. Rainwater is absorbed by vertical plants to reduce the speed of falling water then accommodated in the reservoir under the building.

Bright House
Spread Warmth out of the Minimum Space Team: Alfian Reza | Ahmad Muarif
Living needs in urban district are getting higher day by day. the economic pressure, job competition and modern lifestyle turn people into an individual character. House which is the character expression of the inhabitant, now become more exclusive and lack of social interaction. high and massive wall, closed fence, seemed like it’s showing a distrust to the surrounding neighborhood. In short, we need a house that could be a medium to bring back the good relationship between the inhabitant with the surrounding neighbourhood
Small garden and pond not only for water infiltration but also giving a fresh air to the indoor space
Zoning & Access
the ramp’s designed circular at the perimeter of the site to maximize the distance reached
Ramp’s position at the perimeter giving a spacious middle space that more efective and efficient
Zoning of room follows the flow of circulation access where public area is located at the beginning of the ramp’s flow then the level of privacy will increase along with the ramps flow. Master bedroom become the most private area eventhough it’s located in the frontside of the house
cut the middle space of the building to make a tunnel for natural daylight and become a void that give spacious impression inside the narrow house
Space Connectivity
pitched roof (kampung type) choosen to blend house with the neighbourhood. facade with a huge window to maximize natural daylight and giving the neighbourhood exterior ligting at night
Void in the middle of the house not only make the room brighter and feels more spacious but also facilitate family members, especially the mother to monitor and communicate with the childrend without going up and down so she can keep doing her works in the ground floor
Education Park for
Priok’s Marginal
Street children is an example of the problem in Indonesia’s education system, where not all citizens can get a fair and proper education. Government-sponsored aid programs are barely touch them because there are a lot of aspect that the government don’t understand. This park is a solution to educate these marginal people with all their unique characteristic. By understanding what they want, so they not only become the object, but also the subject of the park’s activity Education Park for Priok’s Marginal

Witte Paal Hotel & MORE
Tutor : Ir. Ahmad Syaifullah MJ., MSI
“Tugu monument is one of the most famous place in Jogja. its is often used as a center of activity both by local residents and tourists who come to jogja. But unfortunately the potential crowd is not offset by the proper supporting facilities and public space. This Hotel which is located not far from the monument is expected to be an extension of the monument area where the hotel can attract the crowds and accommodate all the activities that are usually done in the monument area as well as adding other functions that can increase the selling point of the hote
The hierarchy within the site takes the axis from the direction of the monument so that the most public area in the southwest, is the most private in the northeast.
The hierarchy is used to determine the location of the hotel mass and public space on the site
Building elevation in ad give sun shading and als visitors view to enjoy space
ddition to so provide the public
The ‘arc’ shape giving the impression of openness & bring people in the hotel area. moreover, it could reduce the wind load toward the building
The addition of the mass follow the direction of the tourists coming from the monument so that the tourist who come will directly be greeted with an interesting vista
Growing Health Restaurant
Tutor: Ir. Ikaputra M.Eng., Ph.D
Fast food restaurants have recently become favorite places to eat, especially among busy office workers who do not have much lunch / breakfast time. But unfortunately, fast food is closely related to junk food or unhealthy foods. So does the usual food consumed by young children at school and street. In the cafĂŠ or hangout they usually also consume unhealthy foods such as coffee, cigarettes etc. As a result with a busy lifestyle combine with unhealthy dietary habit supported by pollution and congestion, the quality of public health in big cities will decrease further. Therefore, they need a place to eat that can inspire people to start a healthy lifestyle, and grow health within themselves and their environment.

Public Park + FACILITIES in Desa Tamansari
Type : Public Park | Voluntary design & build Client : Goverment of Tamansari Village Year : 2016
Signage /Environement Design
in around July 2016, i joined KKN-PPM UGM program in Tamansari, Banyuwangi. Our main project there was rebranding the village as a tourism village and i was asked to design a small park in front of vllage’s administration office. Actually the headman just wanted to renovate the front fence, but after some discussion we decided to buil a park for public, ecpecially for kid considering there were many children playing around everytime i come. using some local material like stone, flowers, and bermuda grasses, this park aimed to greet the visitor to the village as well as became am iconic public space for villagers, especially for the children
GRAPHIC DESIGN WORKS Basically i have an interest in all kind of design, especially graphic design. And it’s been a long time even since i haven’t known architecture. In the last 5 years, i’ve been working on various kind of graphic design project such as poster design, logo design, and branding. i also joined 99design and won some competitions. For me, doing graphic design is kind of refreshing when i got stuck in an architecture project. Moreover, i think graphic design has given good contributions in my architecture works. It trained my sense of aesthetic, unity, and composition when i had to do board layouting. That’s also the reason why in every project, i frequently take some times just to design the building’s logo.
