•  Present the FIATECH membership with status and executive summary reports on cutting-edge research being conducted at universities and research institutes around the world that is related to the Capital Projects Technology Roadmap (CPTR); •  Serve as liaison between private industry and research by listening to industry challenges and problems and identifying solutions; •  Undertake joint research and development activities of relevance between academic committee members and industry;


•  Explore funding opportunities to execute tactical plans of FIATECH’s Capital Projects Technology Roadmap (CPTR); •  Recruit relevant universities and research institutes to join FIATECH; •  Review academic response to CPTR from the 2004 academic charrette, incorporate these into the current CPTR as appropriate and update CPTR on annual or bi-annual basis; and •  Create and maintain clearinghouse of international research (completed and ongoing).


•  Opportunity to help play an active role in the guidance of FIATECH’s Capital Projects Technology Roadmap, including vision, strategy and tactical planning. •  Access to industrial partners to support your research projects. •  Network with colleagues. •  Accurate identification of current and future research needs. •  Synergy with other global research initiatives in this domain. •  Participation in new construction industry initiatives.


•  Expertise of forward-thinking organizations working in the construction supply chain and leading technology organizations. •  Increased profile through FIATECH promotions and web site links. •  Knowledge held on FIATECH web site containing presentations, case studies, briefing notes and reports. •  Conference paper and speaker opportunities. •  Access to industry associations and relevant academic bodies (US, Europe and global). •  Receive first opportunity to submit proposals for FIATECH’s Request For Proposal (RFP) project work.
