SKAAT DS2L - LONG RING FRAMES The term ‘SLUB’ is described as ‘Thick Place’ in a yarn. In slub yarn, ‘Slubs’ are deliberately created to produce a desired pattern in the yarn. By altering the slub yarn parameters such as slub diameter, slub length and yarn length or slub interval, one can produce more variety of slub yarn with different style. Long ring frame is nothing but a ring frame having Duoflex drive at ‘OFF end’. For Duoflex drive ring frame, ‘DS2L’ model is designed for slub. In this model, middle and back bottom fluted roller of the ring frame must be splitted at the middle to provide separate drives for both the ends. Instead of machine drive, Two Servo motors are used to drive the middle and back bottom fluted roller (one at ‘Gear end’ and another at ‘Off end’). Two sets of specially designed Servo drive, Servo motor and a sturdy SKAAT variator gear box are used to drive both ‘Gear end’ and ‘Off end’ of the ring frame independently without slippage. Drive transmission by means of ‘mechanical coupling’ at Gear end and “wheel

drive” at off end. Both the servo motors are synchronized to produce uniform quality of slub yarn. Gear end of the machine is entirely covered by our special panel. All our drive, motor and electrical components are placed inside this panel. Touch industrial computer with 15” wide screen is provided on the panel for easy view and hassle free programming.

SKAAT DS2

SKAAT DS2 - MEDIUM RING FRAMES SKAAT DS2 model is developed for medium ring frames up to 1008 spindles and no need to split the middle and back bottom fluted rollers. For this model, a specially designed servo drive, servo motor and a sturdy SKAAT gear box are used to drive the entire length of ring frame without slippage. Drive transmission by means of mechanical coupling for

effective results. Gear end of the machine is entirely covered by our special panels. All our drive system, motors and electrical components are placed inside this panel. Touch industrial computer with 15â&#x20AC;? wide screen is provided on the panel for easy view and hassle free programming.

SKAAT DIGI 300

SKAAT DIGI 300 - SHORT RING FRAMES SKAAT DIGI 300 slub attachment is designed for any make of short ring frames up to 600 spindles. The entire drive unit and control panel is to be placed on gear end and a 15” touch industrial computer will be kept near by the machine for programming. One servomotor is used to drive the middle and back bottom roller through our specially designed SKAAT variator gear box. Drive transmission from servomotor to middle and back bottom fluted roller by means of gear to avoid slippage and unwanted jerks on machine.

In all models, two advanced digital encoders are used to monitor the speed of front roller and back roller separately which ensures that this speed ratio is always matching with servo speed to produce uniform quality of slub yarn, while the machine is running in variable spindle speed. Back roller encoders are also act as ‘Slub missing stop motion’ which is used to stop the machine immediately whenever the slub action not taken place.

1. Easy access of all the SKAAT systems attached in the Ring Frames by radio console from Manager’s cabin or Quality Control room. 2. Start / Stop the machines via SKAAT Commander. 3. Edit the Slub patterns, recipes and necessary parameters. 4. Edit the blackboard yarn appearance.

5. In case of any trouble, all the SKAAT units in the Ring frames can be securely connected to the server in SKAAT customer care centre through the internet for trouble shooting. 6. With the help of SKAAT commander top officials can view in live running of Slub formation through the pre installed ‘cameras’ in the existing SKAAT units.

SKAAT CORE

SKAAT CORE SKAAT CORE SKAAT Core yarn system is designed on depth knowledge in converting ring frames for high quality special yarns. Soft core and Rigid core models are available for producing yarn for different application.

SKAAT CORE – SOFT In SKAAT Soft Core, advanced digital servomotor is used to drive the Lycra feed roller and the servomotor gets digitally synchronized signal from front fluted roller by a special electronic device. Feed rollers are made up of special material with antistatic coating to avoid static charges and over lapping. A display cum control unit is supplied along with soft core unit to alter the stretch and assist the yarn to get uniform Lycra content until the Lycra package exhaust. To maintain uniform Lycra content, feed roller speed is varying automatically which depends upon the Lycra package diameter so as to ensure uniform surface speed and making the constant elongation. An effective stop motion with cutting device is provided to stop the roving wherever the Lycra material missing or exhaust. Whenever the rove is missing (or) exhausts, Lycra supply will stop by lifting the Lycra package from feed roller.

SKAAT CORE – RIGID In SKAAT Rigid core, a special creel is supplied to hold rigid core material and its stretch is controlled by an external tensioning device. An effective stop motion with cutting device is to stop the roving whenever the core material cuts or exhausts. If the roving is missing (or) exhausts Lycra supply will stopped since both the stop motions are inter connected.

✓ As core material draft is controlled by servo motor, Ring frame can be running with variable speed which results uniform core material in yarn.

Lift up device - pull and push system SKAAT core system integrated fixed separators and flexible moving up and down carriage makes filament completely free when in Park- position. The filament cannot lap on the feed rollers and stays in waiting position, when not in use.

Pair of feed roller servo drive The pair of feed rollers of 50mm dia are dark surfacehardened and driven by a SKAAT servo system for precision electronic draft regulation.

Roving Stop Motion The effective roving stop motion stops automatically the fibre input when a filament break is detected. This guarantees automatic feed- in after re-start. The working principle is like turning a tongue around the input roller.

Individual filament supervision On each spindle with integrated electronic for communication and roving stop activation. The special sensors integrated with filament gaiting rollers ensures the presence of filament.

SKAAT slub tester is used to test the slub yarn and multi effect yarn to assess the quality, slub pattern and multi effect pattern of the yarn.

✓ Slubs / meter

It consists of feeding unit, measuring unit and control unit. In measuring unit, a pair of rubberized roller passes the yarn to the sensing zone which consists of a highly precision laser sensor. Yarn measuring speed can be varied. At the control unit we can obtain the following results.
