THE BRAND’S EMBLEM IS THE POLAR BEAR:

From the ice-cold depths of the Arctic Circle resides a creature so resilient, it has evolved to adapt to it’s extreme environment. Fully waterproof, heat retentive, and a two inch thick coat all provide an ideal ratio of comfort to protection. We didn’t choose the Polar Bear. The Polar Bear chose us!

We have a development subsidiary and a laboratory within the group that carries out full quality monitoring that complies with current standards relating to the different aspects of protection and is ideally suited to motorcycling use and constraints.

Cutting resistance. Abrasion resistance. Tearing resistance. Solidity of seams. Chemical tests. Ergonomic tests.

Bering has been following this policy strictly for several years, using our internal laboratory. We are constantly looking to combine the highest level of safety with user comfort to free the rider’s mind.

MEMBRANE

Water comes in many forms: rain, snow, hail, mist Whatever its appearance, it can cause discomfort that increases with speed. But it is not enough to provide protection that simply puts up a barrier to prevent water getting in. It must also allow water to be expelled from inside.

Managing these two phenomena – stopping water penetration and regulating its escape – requires the development and use of fabrics with suitable properties and manufacturing techniques (coating, heat-welding, gutter stitching, etc).

TECHNOLOGY INSULATION

Cold. Amplified by the seasons, it also varies according to the climate where you happen to be and its effects depend on the speed at which you ride. A lowering of your bodytemperature can directly affect your safety by impeding your riding:

Numbness (in your hands, feet, etc).

Loss of sensitivity.

Pain/burning.

General hypothermia.

PROTECTORS

Falls and collisions... Motorcyclists are at their most vulnerable in an accident. Protection becomes paramount, although we know that 100% effectiveness is never possible. Nonetheless, Bering is constantly conducting research into how to lower the level of physical injury. Achieving these safety standards is only possible with profound expertise in the design of protective clothing, combined with using the best materials recognised for their strength, painstaking manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures that start from the design phase.

A GORE-TEX membrane is bonded to a lightweight fabric and a liner is freely suspended between the outer fabric and the lining.

The benefit: fewer sealed seams means manufacturers have more freedom for fashion applications. This construction can be combined with insulation.

BERING IS THE ONLY FRENCH MOTORCYCLE EQUIPMENT BRAND WITH THE GORE-TEX LICENCE.

We use this in certain jackets and gloves Clothing developed using the GORE-TEX technology is waterproof and windproof while providing maximum breathability.

Hardwearing, they provide maximum comfort and protection. There are many fabrics and constructions: with or without insulation, in 2 and 3 layers or Z-liner. GORE TEX works for many leading brands in sectors such as mountaineering, winter sports and even sailing.

2 LAYER LINER

The GORE-TEX membrane is directly protected by the outer fabric to which it is applied.

The inner lining makes the product more flexible, more comfortable. The garment dries more quickly and leaves no feeling of humidity or cold.

LAMINA TE TEC HNOL OG Y

To help users make their choice, we have devel oped 5 different fits, each of which corresponds to a specificmorphology. In addition to the technical specificities, inserts, fabric and style, fit is an important factor for the user. Each product therefore has a pictogram which classifies it according to fit.

Straight and classic fit. This standard fit is generally used for the Discovery category. These are products for the road, to drive in all circumstances.

Close fit, mainly used for Pulse or Racing products.

Comfort fit, developed for large statures to create a casual look. Developed in partnership with countries such as Australia or Brazil where statures are larger than in Europe.

Fit for generous morphologies, for men and women. Each product is the result of specific trials carried out in partnership with motorcyclists with unusual physiques. Measurements are adjusted for the waist, arms and thighs. Bering was the first to develop a range for physical statures.

INNOVATION

A new brand of protections for bikers. 2 years of R & D were needed to develop this new range of protections combining advanced technology and ease of use. Particular attention was focused on the materials used ensuring maximum comfort and optimal shock absorption.

Once assembled, OMEGA protectors and ALPHA form a protection of level 2. Always as light and flexible they have an optimal level of security especially in the absorption of shocks.

With its Viscoelastic structure and its ergonomics re-optimized, the Omega protection offers a new comfort unmatched in this category.

PRODUCTS

For each part of the body to be protected, level 1 guards are proposed. Shoulder - Elbow - Hip - Knees - Dorsal OMEGA hulls : inspired by the concept of carapaces, it is the perfect dosage combining flexibility and robustness. ALPHA hulls : inspired by the concept of the honeycomb, the hulls are ultra flexible and breathable qualities allowing to perfectly marry the morphology of the area to be protected. To best fit all body types, two sizes of hulls are available for the elbows, hips and dorsals.

Extremely flexible, thin and largely ventilated, the Alpha shells are designed for urban, Vintage or summer products.

Omega and Alpha combined for optimal level 2 protection for use in extreme conditions.
