FideNa

FideNa is a non-profit research center created in 2008 by the Government of Navarra through SODENA. Its goal is fostering the use of nanotechnology by the industry. Navarra is a strong industrial region of Spain home to some major players in Renewable Energies, BioTech, Automotive & Food Processing. activity FideNa focuses its efforts in three main areas: ▮ NanoFabrication: nanostructures via interference lithography, in collaboration with MIT groups. FideNa can fabricate patterns of columns, holes or lines, with pitches down to 180nm and features down to 30nm, over areas as large as 10cm2. ▮ NanoBio: self-assembly of bio-molecules on surfaces or nanoparticles. ▮ NanoMaterials: additives for nanocomposites or coatings. Particularly interested in the use of nanowhiskers and nanoclays to improve the properties of eco-friendly polymers... FideNa’s team includes 17 people, with backgrounds on biology, chemistry and engineering, including 6 doctors and 5 doctorate students.
