Wishes for Teachers
For the fifth year in a row, the Desert Financial Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers program helped to make classroom wishes across the state come true. Teachers filled out an online application to explain their classroom wish and 200 teachers from across the state were randomly-selected to receive a $2,500 grant to make that wish come true.
• 5,439 total years teaching • 70,432 students impacted by these wishes being granted • 45 different municipalities or townships included • 161 different schools selected • 67 school districts and 19 charter schools • 71 colleges and universities represented from teacher alma maters
What’s more fun than granting wishes? Wishes for Teachers is even more meaningful this year as teachers have adapted to extraordinary circumstances. Desert Financial has had a long history of supporting education to honor the legacy of our 15 founders, all teachers.
