Children’s Classic Concerts
Junk Trunk Percussion superstars Owen and Olly and friends will be drumming up a storm with Junk Trunk. Join in the fun as they turn household junk into funk! From dustbin drum-kits to trashcan tom toms it’s an action-packed family concert and definitely not just a load of old rubbish! The highlight will be the 150 piece Fife schools Samba band who will perform on stage with the musicians. Bring your own homemade percussion to join in – either through using downloadable worksheets available from childrensclassicconcerts.co.uk or by attending the pre-concert workshop on Sat 1 March at 2pm. Places at this workshop are free, but are limited and must be pre-booked.

The Secret Life of Suitcases by Lewis Hetherington and Ailie Cohen Larry works at the Suitcase Station, and he likes it very much. Every day he inspects funnels and fixes pipes. And of course, he collects and sorts out everyone’s secrets as they arrive from all over the world. There are so many of them! But he’s very good at his job and manages to keep them all safe. Until one day, a secret escapes – and Larry has to go on a mission to get it back... Join Larry in The Secret Life of Suitcases as his world gets turned upside down and he discovers the thrill of an adventure and the joy of coming home again. My City My City tells the story of two lost souls. One speaks only Spanish and the other only Gaelic. Although they don’t speak the same language, they tell each other fantastical stories using simply their own bodies, music and any object that they can find. My City, is set to live music, highlights and explores themes of environmental awareness. Each production is accompanied by a workshop that allows children to create puppets and musical instruments from recycled objects, emphasizing the importance of reusing and recycling.
