Dunfermline Dramatic Society present Pygmalion by Bernard Shaw Thu 11 – Sat 13 Jan 7.30pm £9/£8 conc Pygmalion both delighted and scandalized its first audiences in 1914. In Shaw’s hands, the phoneticist Henry Higgins is the Pygmalion figure who believes he can transform Eliza Doolittle, a cockney flower girl, into a duchess at ease in polite society. SPAN A Tale Of Three Bridges

Richard Jobson & The Skids

Sat 23 Dec – Sun 15 Apr, Free

Sat 28 Apr - Sun 26 Aug Free

A hands-on family friendly exploration of the 3 iconic bridges that cross the Forth. Learn about the bold Victorians who risked their lives to create the magnificent rail bridge. How did the “spider men” of the road bridge get their nickname? And how close did we come to having a tunnel under the Forth rather than the beautiful newly opened Queensferry Crossing? Developed in partnership with Deep Sea World and featuring stunning historic photographs of all 3 bridges.

Richard Jobson, musician, poet, film maker and broadcaster, reflects on 1977, the year that The Skids punk rock group formed in Dunfermline. Includes his artwork ‘Scared to Dance’ named for the first Skids album. Special events coming soon on www.onfife.com
