Although the vast majority do not turn to crime, those who do cost the taxpayer as much as £60,000 per year. That’s what it takes to keep one person in a young offenders’ institution.” (Source: ‘Add a dash of self-belief’, Sunday Times, 17th October 2010) large proportion of Fifteen’s A apprentices have faced obstacles and are in need of a fresh start in life. It costs £30,000 to train each apprentice, but the results are far reaching with many of the graduates carving out successful careers in the restaurant industry, all over the world.
