Specifically designed for cephalopods. Like the original, the Power Tail Squid has the same patented concept: a hard, transparent fin that creates action for the body and slows its descent by creating maximum vibrations.

The head of the Power Tail Squid is designed as a “glider head” so that it sinks quickly and can effectively be fished along the bottom, with the lure being presented at a 45° angle for maximum effectiveness.
FROM THE SHORE : Cast your lure, let it sink until it hits the bottom, and then slowly retrieve. ON A BOAT : Either cast your lure, or drop it down to the bottom, and then retrieve it slowly back to the boat. You can also fish your lure vertically by using a sink and draw action just off the bottom. A slow, linear animation is very important in order to maintain the correct swimming action. Feel for the bottom and retrieve the lure slowly.

BUMPING THE BLACK MINNOW
LURE SELECTION:
WHAT IS “BUMPING THE BLACK MINNOW”?
The Black Minnow needs to be moving. It is important to match the weight of the head to the strength of the current.
One of the deadliest ways to fish the Black Minnow for bass especially, and it’s so simple to do. We designed the Black Minnow to be fished in many different ways, including the need for you to sometimes do very little with it!
We especially like the 120mm Black Minnow with the 12g Shore Head or the 18g Search Head if the current is that bit stronger.
WHERE TO “BUMP” THE BLACK MINNOW? Look for current, and let the current do the work. As we all know, bass love current, so look for somewhere like an estuary that has a good run of current, is not too deep, and where you are able to cast your Black Minnow right into the main flow of water. The trick is not to do too much……. A simple technique for “bumping the Black Minnow” in a run of current : Cast straight out into the main current flow, and then let your Black Minnow sink to the bottom on a controlled drop - remember, bass can hit the lure on the drop. Once you feel the Black Minnow hit the bottom, make sure your mainline is tight, point your rod tip up, and either “bump” the lure or simply let it trundle down the current. You can either do nothing to the lure and simply let the current do all the work - the soft body of the Black Minnow means that it is always moving and appealing to fish - or else you can fish it with a controlled sink and draw. Lift your rod up to pull the Black Minnow away from the bottom, and then drop the lure back down, feel it “bump” the bottom, and repeat.

CRAZY SHORE POLLACK
CRASH, BANG, WALLOP!
LURE SELECTION:
Isn’t it incredible how hard pollack hit and crash dive? The Crazy Sandeel is the perfect pollack lure, and it works as well from the shore as it does from the boat. Find some rock edges and deep water and hold on!
Think about the depth and conditions of the water you are fishing and use a weight of head that will sink fast enough.
YOU NEED TO BE READY ALL THE TIME Nine times out of ten a pollack is going to hit you on the drop when you are fishing with the Crazy Sandeel, so be ready. Cast the lure out, allow it to sink but maintain contact at all time, feel for the bottom, and then start a fairly fast sink and draw retrieve. Be very ready for the lure to suddenly stop when on the drop (sinking) - this is a pollack. Strike and hold on!
Our go to Crazy Sandeel is the 150mm size, generally with the 20g Off Shore Head, but we will go with the 10g Shore Head if we can get away with it.
POLLACK CAN SOMETIMES BE VERY COLOUR PICKY One day pollack will hit any colour, and the next day they have gone all picky. Our out and out favourite Crazy Sandeel colours for pollack are Rose Fluo and Mango Juice, but be prepared and carry other colours as well. If you are catching a few fish but then things suddenly go quiet, try changing the colour of your Crazy Sandeel to see if this will attract more pollack. If not, think about moving locations.
