How to Recover Corrupted SharePoint Database?

Steps to Repair:

Step 2: If selected 'Complete Repair' then the screen shows the options to select and search SQL Server (.MDF) files. Click on 'Select File' for repairing SharePoint database. When you don’t know database actual path then click on the 'Search File' option for locating MDF file in a specific drive. When finished selecting then go for scanning process.


Step 3: After scanning, the software generates a tree of all SharePoint database tables and display them on the left pane. If you need to preview then select the table in the tree and you will able to see in the right pane. Now, click on 'Repair' in order to begin repairing process for the selected database.


Step 4: After clicking on 'Repair', dialog box appears. Then, specify the SQL Server name/Instance name and the desired destination path. Now, click on the 'Browse' option for choosing the destination path. Then, click on 'OK' button.

Step 5: When this process is completed, you will find a dialog box that displays 'Recovered file’ message is saved at the desired location. This ensures successful completion of Recovery Process. Now, click on 'OK' button.


Step 6: After this, another dialog box appears which will ask you whether you want to attach the repaired database to the web application. When clicked on 'Yes' button, the above dialog box is displayed. In the web application URL, type the name of the corrupted database and SQL Server Instance name. Then, click on 'OK' button and proceed. On completion of the process, you can access the repaired database just by opening the web application.
