Organizational models for operations growth We have models in place to expand AIESEC’ operations and facilitate the development of our entities: 1. Specialised Units concept is developed and spread while implementation is running in specific MCs we are driving operations with. 2. Country Consultancy framework is finalised and running and we have 3 to 5 Organizational Growth Patterns & at least 2 practical cases under each

Specialized Units Piloting for SUs started after IC Russia. We are piloting 4 different scenarios with 4 different AIESEC MCs. All entities are either done or in the process of choosing SUPs & SUVPs: 1. Indonesia & Egypt: Increasing the capacity of big LCs & expanding to universities in the same city to help grow the LC in specific programs that have a wide market. 2. Slovenia: Make a weak LC turn into an SU to generate more experiences in a specific programme by focusing only on it. 3. Honduras: Starting operations in a new country/territory as a SU. 4. Egypt: Starting new LCs as SUs until they are mature enough to be LCs. Next steps include the implementation of SUs by starting operations & regular follow up to evaluate every scenario. The piloting period ends by IPM in February 2013. Relevant links: • About “SU” concept: http://www.myaiesec.net/content/viewfile.do?contentid=10226781

MC expansion Countries/territories divided into green, yellow & red countries/territories which show the priorities to expand in them. A report for every country explains the reasoning for the colour. As part of the mandate that AIESEC International holds regarding expansion, we have developed 4 templates and guides and 6 more are to be prepared, all these to facilitate and ease the expansion process. We received interests from AIESECers & non-AIESECers since July 1st to expand in 20 new countries/ territories that we are not present in yet and 4 of them filled the needed applications to get into the official process: Zambia, Burundi, Chad and Namibia Next steps include the completion of the Global Mandate, on-going support and coach to OEs and EIs and key investments into making expansion happen. Country Consultancy The Country Development framework was created and presented at IC 2012. This model intends to: 1. Learn from our success and map out how entities grow in different markets/conditions. Those patterns will serve as Growth Models that any entity can follow with certainty that it will succeed if proper customization is done. 2. In order to create growth patterns we experimented clear program focus for different sub-regions (GCDP or GIP; incoming or outgoing). Regional and Subregional Summits were hosted to set and empower sub-regional program-based growth strategies (GCDP summit in Mediterranean, GCDP summit in IGN, GIP summit in Central Europe etc. More are upcoming) 3. Be a tool for AIESEC International for better coaching and guidance for country consultancy. Some of the effects are already clear and you can see them in the way allocation and delivery of Country Consultancy service is being done 4. We analysed different entities growth paths to then compare them and try to identify patterns. Next steps include the participation in a MCVPs OD Summit in Bonn and further identification of growth paths with the aim to determine solid patterns. Along sides with these, publication of the growth paths and patterns will be published for MCPs. Relevant links: • Country Development Framework:
