Dekhle’. “You never know what song is going to be a global one and a big one. You never know. You just put your heart out whenever you write a song. So, every time, and every song is special for me! But yeah people chose ‘Maan Meri Jaan’ and ‘Tu Aake Dekhle’ over the other songs. So, it’s fine for me. I’m happy.”
Attributing much of the success to his team as well, he adds, “I’ll be honest with you, my team, the Bluprint and the people I’m working with on the music. I’m just being honest right now because I’m just not me alone… the people behind me are welloriented in life. So, all credit goes to them.”
Talking about Nick Jonas recreating his song Maan
Meri Jaan (Afterlife) that has gone on to garner over 8 million views in less than 2 weeks since its release, he admits that it’s been amazing. “I have a long way to go, but yes, it’s been a good start,” he says. Open to more collaborations with other singers, he says there are far too many artistes to name on his wish list, adds collabs like these happen when they have to organically.
As for the biggest takeaway as an artiste, he says that it’s the adulation and the love he’s got from fans across. “I think the kind of love that we get every day. That’s my only takeaway. Like it’s everything for me so yeah.”
