EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative Membership Services and Communications Coordinator The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is seeking to hire a full time staff member to fill the position of Membership Services and Communications Coordinator. The deadline for application is Wednesday, September 7, 2016. The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is a non-profit artist-run centre, which supports, encourages and assists independent filmmaking in Saskatchewan. The Filmpool is committed to developing an awareness and appreciation of independent film, which reflects the individual and collective expression of Saskatchewan people. Job Description The Membership Services and Communications Coordinator (MSCC) will be responsible to ensure that all Filmpool members, as well as members of the local arts community, are appraised of all Filmpool programming and production related activities – either through the dissemination of electronic avenues of communication (website, newsletter, blog posting, press releases, images, new menu items and archiving), through social media platforms (facebook, twitter, etc.) and through Filmpool print related promotion materials (brochures, posters). Working in collaboration with the Filmpool’s Programming and Production Coordinators, the MSCC will be asked to assist with the design and disemination of all programming materials, and to support equipment production access to Filmpool and outside community members. The postion is also responsible for the maintenance of the Filmpool membership database and to assist membership with professional development and networking opportunities. Finally, the MSCC is a staff member of the Filmpool and will often be called upon to fulfill basic support for programming and operations at the Filmpool which are not outlined in the job description. These extra duties are to be applied to the position in a responsible way and in good faith. Note: This position includes a four-day (28 hours) workweek with full benefits.
