Assistant App: Download either “DJI Assistant” on the iTunes store or “DJI Ronin” on the Google Play store. The app offers a one-touch stability tuning, SmoothTrack setting, controller adjustment, live data and a ton more. Don’t use any options you’re not sure what they do, and check the manual. Remote Control/Thumb Controller: The remore control allows a second person to control pan/tilt/roll of the camera on the gimbal. A thumb controller can be attached to the handlebars to allow for single person operation of the gimbal with full control. Upright & Briefcase Modes: For higher viewpoints you can use upright mode by flipping the gimbal foward 180° and it will compensate automatically. Footage will have to be flipped in post as the camera will be running upside down. Briefcase mode allows for a thinner gimbal profile held closer to the operator’s body. In briefcase mode, the controller will not have pan or roll control of the camera.
