& SASKATCHEWAN INDEPENDENT FILM AWARDS
The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is dedicated to the production and exhibition of independent, visionary, Saskatchewan-made, film and video art. The Filmpool Premiere Screening 2014 would not be possible without the amazing contributions from the Filmpool’s active membership. The annual Filmpool Premiere Screening is designed to showcase and celebrate the amazing, creative and diverse film and video works by the Members of the Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative.
Guidelines -
The Filmpool asks that only current Members of the Filmpool, with a Full or Basic Membership, OR non-members who signup for a submitters-membership submit works. The SIFA is open to all Saskatchewan residents living in the province for one year or longer. Films must have been completed in the past two years and was not selected to screen at the Filmpool Premiere Screening 2013.

SUBMITTER Cost is $45. perks include the Dailies & Splice Magazine for a year. For an extra $20 you can upgrade to a Basic Membership.
Please submit your submission on USB stick, or online file sharing (Dropbox or FTP). Include 1 or 2 stills from the film.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: October 31, 2014 (if you do not receive a confirmation email within 3 days of submitting, please contact the Filmpool)

Any further inquiry or to submit this form via email: programs@filmpool.ca or call (306)757-8818 Films should not exceed 15minutes, however films up to 20minutes will be considered by the jury. This is a competitive process juried by peers under Filmpool policy. Films are assessed under the context of the Filmpool’s mandate. Preference will be given to films created in the last year. Following an adjudication process with a jury, applicants will be notified by November 18th of the results. There will be no late submissions accepted. IMAA standards for artist’s fees will be honored for all selected filmmakers. All selected 2014 Premiere Screening filmmakers will be asked to be present for the Q&A session & reception following the Premiere Screening. The Filmpool retains the right to deem certain content inappropriate for a general audience. Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for exhibition at the Filmpool Premiere Screening for promotional purposes. The individual submitting the film warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.
