Filmpool Production Coordinator

The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is currently accepting applications for the position of Production Coordinator. This is a full-time (28 hr/week) position.

! Application Due Date: Friday, February 26, 2016 ! ! Responsibilities: !

- Organizing, purchasing and maintaining Filmpool production equipment, including camera, sound, grip and editing/computer items - Regulating and managing equipment access to Filmpool members and outside arts communities - Organizing and maintaining a database of information on members and inventory - Working with the Executive Director to document and bill for equipment use - Working with the Programming Coordinator to develop and deliver production oriented workshops for the Filmpool in accordance with our programming vision - Working with the Executive Director to develop capital acquisition strategies - Administering the Filmpool’s independent production grants program - Assisting with the development of Filmpool production policy - Administration and maintenance of the Filmpool’s computer systems - Assisting staff with the Filmpool’s online activities, including website maintenance, social media, and live streaming.

The Filmpool is a non-profit, artist-run-centre that supports independent visionary filmmaking in Saskatchewan. The candidates must have a passion and desire to support the arts in Saskatchewan and be committed to the development of independent film in our province.

! Key Qualifications: !

- A working knowledge of film/video/digital cameras - A working knowledge of lighting/sound/grip equipment and technologies - both new and old, including maintenance and repair - A working knowledge of film/video/digital independent production and resources - Project management and office administration skills and experience - A working knowledge of database, film editing and sound editing software, including Final Cut Pro and Adobe CS Suite (Premiere and Photoshop) - Good inter-personal, organizational and time management skills - Ability to prioritize deadlines effectively - Ability to be self-motivated and to undertake projects on one’s own initiative - Demonstrated skill and experience in writing and assessments - Ability to work within a collaborative framework with staff and membership - Demonstrated expertise in effective web-based activities including social media

A solid understanding of the media arts landscape in Saskatchewan Familiarity with the operations of a ‘not for profit’, artist run centre A polite demeanor when dealing with the public, members and visiting artists Post secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience - Ability to be flexible within a changing work environment - A love of film and filmmaking -

Note: This is a four-day workweek salaried position, with benefits. Annual (Starting) Salary: $26,000, 28 hours a week (medical and dental plan)
