Programming Coordinator The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is seeking to hire a full time staff member to fill the position of Programming Coordinator. The deadline for application is Friday, September 11, 2015. The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is a non-profit artist-run centre, which supports, encourages and assists independent filmmaking in Saskatchewan. The Filmpool is committed to developing an awareness and appreciation of independent film, which reflects the individual and collective expression of Saskatchewan people. Job Description The Programming Coordinator will be responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of all Filmpool programmed events, including exhibitions, workshops, education and partnership initiatives, outreach and special projects. In addition, the position will be responsible for the promotion of these events, including website maintenance, online activities, social media and the production of event brochures, posters, cards and PSAs. The position, in collaboration with other staff members, will also be responsible to assist the organization in all other areas of communications and public relations. Reporting to the Filmpool’s Executive Director, the Programming Coordinator will also be asked to assist with information gathering as it relates to the production of Filmpool operating and special project grants, as well as final reports and summaries of all Filmpool programmed events. All work performed by the Filmpool’s Programming Coordinator will be done in coordination with the Filmpool’s mandate and five year Strategic Plan. Finally, the Programming Coordinator is a staff member of the Filmpool, an artist-runcentre, as such this position will often be called upon to fulfill basic support for programming and operations at the Filmpool which are not outlined in the job description.
