Filomena Booth

I'm an abstract artist living with my hubby and three cats in central Texas. Our boys are all married to great gals and we have one little grandson...so far. I spend my day in the studio creating and vegitating! I am a full-time professional artist. I love to work with textural, tactile materials that invite the viewers to run their fingers across the canvas. Bits of rice papers, old stamps, fabrics and other ephemera that I have collected over the years are often woven into the tapestry of my paintings. Every piece is unique, and although I rarely start with a preconceived idea, the painting usually leads me in the direction I need to go in order to bring it to completion.
