SELLER INSIGHT
“The house was built about ten years ago by the next door neighbours who lived here for about eighteen months before we came along. It’s a top quality build home with underfloor heating underneath the ceramic tiles throughout the downstairs. We are only the second owners and have loved living here with so many lovely walks on the doorstep. It is such a convenient location and is really quiet yet we can both get to work so quickly: to Newark in around fifteen minutes, and to Witham St. Hugh’s in about five. Although the A46 is close by, you can’t hear it.”
“We have decorated everywhere using Farrow & Ball and Little Greene paints using pale shades, which has made the spaces feel even lighter and lent a modern vibe.”
“The solid fence is something we added to make it more secure but still retaining the views of the open fields through the trellis. You can see right across to the golf course which is a walk away –for those who like golf! We also laid the decking in the corner – an area that captures the evening sun – which is reinforced specifically to hold a hot tub and has a power point for that purpose too.”
“There are loads of public rights of way round here; you can do a loop covering seven miles, five miles, or just a quick mile! Whisby Nature Park down the lane is a lovely place to go and has cafes and restaurants as well as activities on the lakes. There’s also a pub which serves food, The Railway Inn, the other side of the village.”
“If you have young children, there’s a good village primary school a short walk round the corner. There’s a Co-Op supermarket also within walking distance in Hykeham, and there are buses that pick up and drop off at the end of the lane which travel into Lincoln.”
“We have loved sitting peacefully in the garden on a sunny evening watching the birds, in particular some amazing starling murmurations shape-shifting across the sky.”*
