Strathberry are delighted to release another exclusive collection, showcasing the Scottish brand’s premium craftsmanship and exceptional attention to detail with a new range of fashionforward designs in sophisticated and timeless colourways.
For AW21, Strathberry looks back at some of the most emblematic female icons that shaped the 20th century as a source of inspiration, creating a new and exclusive seasonal collection that honours the power of modern femininity in its evolvement. The American-Austrian actress and inventor Hedy LaMarr, who devised the technology that is still at the basis of WiFi today, the feminist actress and singer Marlene Dietrich with her bold fashion statements, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg (the second woman to serve in the Supreme Court) are only a few of the brilliant pioneering and empowered women whose intellect, talent and sense of style are celebrated in this collection. Conceived to convey a strong sense of sophisticated and empowering womanhood, Strathberry AW21 sees a daring colour palette of dark hues with rich greens and smoky greys along with warm burgundy tones and deep reds to contrast. Texture is added by mixing Strathberrry smooth luxurious leather with panels printed in embossed snake and croc finishes. The effect is a striking effortless opulence, which complements beautifully the understated and minimalistic lines of the Strathberry designs, while hinting to the glamour of 1950s. The new collection sees the introduction of the sophisticated top-handled Trinity bag and the casual-chic Melville Baguette, whose closures are both secured by the signature Strathberry bar reimagined in new creative and contemporary ways.
Introducing the collection is talented content creator, stylist, street style favourite and former Harper’s Bazaar editor Anna Vitiello, who beautifully embodies the essence of the Strathberry woman for AW21. A collection for women to celebrate women in all their fierceness, AW21 is classic yet contemporary, understated yet fearless, bold yet subtle all at once. Strathberry aims to create a passionate homage to the female icons that helped shape a more modern, proactive and wonderfully rebellious image of womanhood, paving the way for future generations. “The effect is a striking effortless opulence, which complements beautifully the understated and minimalistic lines of the Strathberry designs.”
