Our area originally became popular with the LGBTQ+ community because of its vast diversity of sub-destinations that make fore a highly customizable vacation. Seeking the comforts of the countryside? We have it. Looking for urban nightlife and entertainment? We have that too - all existing alongside the beauty of 11 pristine lakes, 1,200 waterfall sites and historically significant landscapes.

As a policy of their partnership with Finger Lakes Tourism Alliance, all of our partners are accommodating to travelers no matter their identity, race, religion, sex and/or national origin. However, those appearing in this guide have voluntarily identified as LGBTQ+ friendly and trans-safe places. Please contact destinations for specific accommodations.

What Does LGBTQ+ Friendly Mean?

Vacation is meant to put your mind at ease. There is no better feeling than walking into a hotel, restaurant, winery, museum or other destination and being immediately comfortable, knowing you can be yourself. Finding those spaces shouldn't be an additional planning burden for the LGBTQ+ community.
