Trust the wait. Embrace the uncertainty. Enjoy the beauty of becoming. When nothing is certain, anything is possible. MANDY HALE
INTRODUCTION A transformational experience awaits! As this new and exciting program continues to evolve, we trust you will enjoy the insights into the experiences and natural environments in which the students will be immersed. Amid an inspiring desert landscape, this experience promises to go beyond the normal understandings and expectations of traditional teaching and learning. We are confident our unique adventure will help forge positive relationships, attitudes, and understandings for a prosperous future. We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of Alice Springs, the Watarrka and Uluru-Kata Tjuta regions, through which we will travel through during our Desert Program. We would also like to acknowledge and thank the Elders, both those who have passed and those who are with us, for the knowledge they have shared. We also extend this respect to all other Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders of this Nation.

Three years ago, 200 Aboriginal and Torres Islander people came together from across our Nation to deliver the Uluru Statement ‘From the Heart’. The Uluru Statement is a rallying call for all of us to work together to get real, lasting and practical change to address the challenges faced by first Australians. A constitutionally enshrined voice to Parliament gives first Australians a fair say to the issues that impact them. So let’s come together, all speak from the heart and make a real difference for our shared future.
