Your time and placing at the completion of each race during this series will be determined by the MyLaps timing system. • Transponders are non-transferable! Be careful not to switch with friends, family, teammates, etc. • Every participant who does not own a timing transponder will be required to rent one for the weekend for a usage fee of $7. At the time of rental, you will be asked to provide a credit card imprint for rental collateral. When you return your transponder to the registration team, your credit card imprint will be retuned to you. • Transponders should be attached to the front fork of your bicycle and can be done so with zip ties provided at registration. • Be sure you cross the timing points at the start, intervals, and finish line of the race. After you have finished your race, please do not ride backwards across the timing line. • At the completion of each race weekend, please return your transponder to the registration personnel and collect your credit card imprint. • If you still have your rental transponder after the race please put it in padded envelope and mail to: WAM Events, PO Box 182103, Casselberry, FL 32718. • As a participant of The $100,000 Bill Bone Pro Am series, you agree to return the timing transponder to an appropriate race official after the race. If you fail to do so, you agree to pay the $100 REPLACEMENT FEE. 5
In addition to the timing chip, we will also capture your time manually via U.S.C.F. Officials and via camera. It is important that you have your race number visible during the race, especially when you cross the finish line. Attach your race number so it is visible to USAC Officials. Safety pins will be available at the registration area each race day. Race results will be posted to the following sites: www.wamevents.com and www.billboneproam.com Podium presentations will take place immediately following the end of each category’s finish. Those who place in the top 3 in their category are to report to the podium in their team jersey for photos for local media and sponsor recognition.
6

• During a road race, if a rider is dropped from the peloton and subsequently dropped from the rolling enclosure, the rider MUST follow the rules of the road, i.e. stop at intersections, yield to oncoming traffic, etc. • Wheels in / Wheels out for Road Races and for Criteriums. Please have wheels clearly marked with rider name and number or team name. Wheels should be removed from the wheel pit or wheel truck immediately following each race. Wheels that are not claimed or are lost are not the responsibility of the race promoters, staff or sponsors. • Feeding during a road race can only take place in designated feed zones. You may not litter on the course. Riders who discard their trash onto the course will be disqualified. Bottles and trash can only be discarded in the designated feed zone areas. • Feeding is not permitted in criteriums or in circuit races. Any rider who is seen feeding during these types of races will be disqualified. • Protest period for race results is 15 minutes after the results have been posted. • Junior Rollout for all Juniors, no matter the category, will be directly after the race. Do not go back to your vehicle, come directly to the judges stand (safely, not against the racers and do not go across the finish line again.) Junior Rollout will take place on the side of the judge’s stand after the finish line. If you do not do Rollout you may be relegated or disqualified. • Riders aren’t allowed to warm-up on the course until all riders from previous race have finished. • The FREE LAP RULE will be in effect for Criteriums. You MUST report to the pit in order to receive a free lap. The pit will be located in the area of the start line. Free laps are allowed only for mishaps as per USAC regulations. Riders suffering a mishap may not ride “against traffic” in order to get to the pit. Proceed in the direction of the race only. NO FREE LAPS WILL BE GRANTED DURING THE FINAL 5 LAPS OF THE RACE. • All riders finish on the same lap as the leader. Lapped riders will be pulled if they threaten to interfere with the progress of the race. Pulled riders will receive a placing. • Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated. Conduct resulting in disqualification and/or suspension include, but are not limited to, the following: No rider may use foul or abusive language. No rider may make an abrupt motion as to interfere with the progress of another rider. Pushing or pulling among riders is prohibited. No rider or licensee may be disrespectful toward organizers, officials, riders or spectators. • The Chief Referee will be responsible for handling any disciplinary actions. • It is the rider’s responsibility to familiarize himself/herself with the rules of the event and the race course prior to the start of the race. 10
• Riders must pre-register for all time trials in the series. No onsite registration will be accepted. Start times will be posted at least 2 hours prior to first rider. • THE COURSE MAY BE OPEN TO TRAFFIC. Heads up at all times! Riders must remain in the RIGHT LANE at all times. • START TIMES: Riders start at 30-second intervals. There will be gaps in the sequence of numbers between classes, so PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE NUMBER CALLER ONLY! • REPORTING TO THE STARTER: You must be in the start line three minutes (6 riders) before your start. If a rider misses their start, they must STOP at the starting line (one foot down), then they may begin unless their start will interfere with that of another rider, in which case the referee will instruct them to wait. Timing begins from the original start time. • RESTARTS will normally not be allowed. Riders suffering mishaps will be given the time of the slowest rider who finishes in his category. • DO NOT WARM UP ON THE COURSE! DO NOT RIDE AGAINST TRAFFIC! The road is open to traffic, and you must obey all applicable traffic regulations. • One or more of the scheduled time trials may be classified as a Merckx style. Merckx style time trials were established to “level the playing field” so that no rider has an advantage based on aero specific equipment. Therefore, at a Merckx style time trial, aero wheels, disc wheels, aero helmets and aero handlebars will not be permitted.
