Rochesterfirefighters were dispatched to a reported house fire with people trapped in the area of Langham Street. The first engine arrived to heavy fire coming from the front of the home, with a person lying in the yard. Requesting EMS on a rush, crews tended to the victim as others stretched lines to the front door. Firefighters made a strong aggressive push to knock down the fire from the inte- riorof the home, but the well-advanced fire had conditions worsening rapidly. Command made the call to remove all members from the building and go defensive; a great call as just minutes laterthe front porch collapsed.
