Jesus said the world will know us by our love. We love people by first loving fellow believers in the church, and then loving and meeting the needs of people in Denton and around the world.
Make Disciples
Disciples are simply followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to make disciples through our worship services, Sunday Groups, Bible studies and one-on-one relationships. Our goal is to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Share Jesus
At First Denton we believe everyone is called by God to share Jesus with those who are not yet believers in Christ. We are all ministers and God gives us unique opportunities to share the gospel message with those in our circles of influence.

Prayer Walk Good Friday, March 25 Join others for a time of devotion and prayer written for Good Friday by Dr. John Beck. This is a come and go prayer time in the Fellowship Hall from 11 am–1 pm or 6–7:30pm. The prayer walk will take about 30-40 minutes to complete. Easter Sunday March 27 There will be 3 services on Easter Sunday. The 7 am Sunrise Service will be at the Denton High Baseball Field. The 9:30 & 11 am services will be in the Worship Center. Sunday Groups will not meet. Preschool
Eggstravaganza March 20 • 4–6 pm • Birth–2nd Grade We will have egg hunts, a petting zoo, a bounce house and cookies. One parent must stay with their child. This is a “Rain or Shine” event. Please register at FirstDenton.org/eggs by Sunday, March 13. Lots of individually-wrapped candy and eggs will be needed for this event. You can help by dropping off plastic eggs or candy donations at the Preschool Desk. Students
Parent Meeting Please join us next Sunday, March 20 after the 11 am service for a Parent Meeting on the Student Floor. Pine Cove Retreat April 22–24 First Denton Students will be going to Pine Cove for a weekend retreat April 22-24. The cost for the weekend (transportation, retreat fee, meals, etc.) is $175 and the deadline to register is Sunday, April 3. Space is limited, so register today at FirstDenton.org/pinecove and don't miss out on an incredible weekend! Family
Marriage Basics Beginning April 6 • 7 pm • FH This is an 8 week class that will help prepare you for marriage. If you are engaged or seriously dating, you will want to take part in this free class. For details and to register, visit FirstDenton.org/marriage-basics.
Visionary Marriage Retreat May 20–21 • Grapevine, TX God has a mission for you as husband and wife. Come and discover it at our Visionary Marriage Conference. The conference will take place at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Grapevine. Cost for the conference is $75 per couple and includes the hotel room. Register at FirstDenton.org/visionary. Missions
2016 Mission Trips We have many mission trips planned this year. Huntsville, Denver, Indianapolis, Chicago, Haiti, Kenya, France and South Asia are just some of the places we will be going. See a full list of trips and their details at FirstDenton.org/mission-trips. Indianapolis Mission Trip Meeting Come and hear more about the Indianapolis Mission Trip that is July 9–16. The meeting will be held on the Student Floor immediately after church. Worship & Music
Kids Choir Musical The Kids Choir will put on the Agape League Musical on Sunday, May 1 at 6 pm in the Worship Center. Any child 1st–5th grade is welcome to sign up and join in the fun with singing and dancing! Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights 5:30–6:15 pm in Room S-203. We also need Adult and Youth volunteers. Spring Break Classic March 19 • 8 am The Spring Break Classic Golf Tournament is Saturday, March 19 at the Trails of Frisco Golf Club. Cost is $45 per player and the format is a 2 man scramble. Register by Sunday, March 13 at FirstDenton.org/golf. Bass Fishing Tournament April 9 • 6 am Our annual Bass Fishing Tournament will be Saturday, April 9 at the Ray Roberts Marina. Check in is at 6 am and the tournament begins at 7 am. Cost is $70 per boat if registered by April 6. It is $80 per boat if registering at the event. There is a 2 person per boat limit and a three fish limit. In addition to the boat entry fee, there is a optional $20 Big Bass Contest. Register at FirstDenton.org/bass.
