We love God by living a life of genuine worship, prayer and study of God’s Word. Loving God means being fully devoted to Him and living a life of obedience. Jesus said the world will know us by our love. We love people by first loving fellow believers in the church, and then loving and meeting the needs of people in Denton and around the world.
Make Disciples
Disciples are simply followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to make disciples through our worship services, Sunday Groups, Bible studies and one-on-one relationships. Our goal is to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Share Jesus
At First Denton we believe everyone is called by God to share Jesus with those who are not yet believers in Christ. We are all ministers and God gives us unique opportunities to share the gospel message with those in our circles of influence.

New Member Building Generations Luncheon May 1 • 12:30 pm • CLC Anyone who has joined First Denton since November 2014 is invited to have lunch with the pastor in the CLC. We will eat together, have a brief presentation about the building project, then you will get the first ever tour of the building project. Childcare will be provided for ages five and under by reservation. Email Deb Kingrey at debk@firstdenton.org to reserve your spot. Recommitment Sunday May 15 • Both services On May 15, we will mark the halfway point of Building Generations. Everyone will be given the opportunity to “Recommit” to Building Generations, make a new commitment or commit for the first time. We will get an update on the project and celebrate what God has done these past 18 months. Wadlow/Hirsch Wedding All are invited to the wedding of our college minister Austin Wadlow and his fiancée Lesley Hirsch on April 30 at 2 pm. The wedding will take place here in the Worship Center. There will be a short reception for everyone in the CLC after the wedding. Come join us as we celebrate the joyous union of Austin and Lesley! Kids
Kids Choir Musical The Kids Choir will put on the Agape League Musical on Sunday, May 1 at 6 pm in the Worship Center. Dr. John Beck will be presented in this musical, as well as all of our talented children. Come out and support the Kids Choir. Vacation Bible School June 13–17 • 9 am–12 pm Join us on a VBS adventure deep within the mysterious sea. This event is for all completed K–6th grade. VBS this year will be a collaborative effort with Southmont Baptist due to construction here at First Denton. To register, visit FirstDenton.org/vbs. Students
Fuge Camp June 21–28 We're excited to be going to summer camp at Fuge in Glorieta, New Mexico. Final deadline to register is April 27. Register online at FirstDenton.org/student-camp.

Visionary Marriage Retreat May 20–21 • Grapevine, TX God has a mission for you as husband and wife. Come and discover it at our Visionary Marriage Conference. The conference will take place at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Grapevine. Cost for the conference is $75 per couple and includes the hotel room. Register at FirstDenton.org/visionary. Women
The Brew Today • 5–7 pm • FH This is an evening of connecting ladies of all ages with fellowship, laughter and growing together in our walk with Christ. We will have coffee and dessert over conversations. Invite your friends and let us come together. 3H Club April 28 • 6 pm 3H Club is a monthly faith-based support group for mothers who have lost a child of any age. You're invited to join with other women who've experienced the same loss as you and find encouragement as we come together. A light supper will be served. Boomer Ministry Kickoff April 21 • 6:30 pm All Boomer-aged folks are invited to a special meeting at Camp Copass. We’ll have a time of worship, devotion and fellowship. Dr. John Beck will present ideas for Boomer Ministry. A sack dinner is included if you register ahead of time.
