Jesus said the world will know us by our love. We love people by first loving fellow believers in the church, and then loving and meeting the needs of people in Denton and around the world. Disciples are simply followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to make disciples through our worship services, Sunday Groups, Bible studies and one-on-one relationships. Our goal is to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Share Jesus
At First Denton we believe everyone is called by God to share Jesus with those who are not yet believers in Christ. We are all ministers and God gives us unique opportunities to share the gospel message with those in our circles of influence.

Church Picnic August 9 • 4–8 pm • Camp Copass Due to flooding at Camp Copass, our annual Church Picnic has been moved to August 9. First Look June 3 • 6 pm • FH First Look is a chance for new members and those who are interested in joining to see all that we have to offer. It is also an opportunity to get connected. Quarterly Business Meeting Our regular quarterly business meeting is scheduled for Sunday, June 14 during the 9:30 and 11 am worship services. We will vote on a recommendation from the Bylaws Revision Committee concerning the definition of biblical marriage. Marino Scholarship for Baylor Students Baylor students who are members of First Baptist Church may apply to receive the Myrtle Marino Scholarship. Applications are available in the pastor’s office and must be returned by July 1, 2015. Kids
Vacation Bible School June 15–19 • 9 am–12 pm Kids from kindergarten–4th grade are invited to Journey Off the Map at VBS. We will explore worship, Bible study, crafts, missions, recreation and music. Register at FirstDenton.org/vbs by June 7 or at the registration table outside of the Worship Center on June 15. Students
VBX June 14–17 • 5:30–8:15 pm All 5th–7th graders are invited to Journey Off the Map at VBX, on June 14–17. There will be games, food, a mission project and worship. Come at 5:30 pm to eat dinner for $1 before we get started at 6 pm. Register at FirstDenton.org/vbx. Gateway Student Conference July 22–24 • $75 The Gateway Student Conference is for both middle and high school students. The $75 cost will cover your registration fee and transportation. Men's Retreat June 5–6 • $65 All men are invited to an overnight retreat at Turtle Hill Lodge in Muenster. There will be golf on Friday and Saturday afternoon for those who wish to play. Friday evening and Saturday morning will be devoted to worship, fellowship and studying the word of God. Cost is $65 per person and includes lodging, Friday night dinner and Saturday morning breakfast. Adult 55+
Rebuild Your Temple June 7 • 4 pm or June 8 • 7 pm Our Creator designed us well and told us how we should live to be healthy. Judy Benfield will share how God's principles have transformed her body after 25+ years of multiple sclerosis to a disease-free energetic life of serving and inspiring others to a life of abundant health. Join the Choir Come join us every Wednesday evening at 6:15 pm in the choir room to practice our upcoming choir specials, as well as the great music for Celebrate America. Southwestern Seminary Music Camp June 8–12 Southwestern Seminary will be holding a music camp for voice, piano and organ the week of June 8–12. Day Camp Summer Day Camp is for ages Kindergarten–6th grade. It runs weekly June 8–August 14, 7:30 am–5:30 pm each day. The cost is $100 per week for first child, $85 per week for second child and $75 per week for 3rd child. There is a registration fee of $15 per camper, per week.
