Jesus said the world will know us by our love. We love people by first loving fellow believers in the church, and then loving and meeting the needs of people in Denton and around the world.
Make Disciples
Disciples are simply followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to make disciples through our worship services, Sunday Groups, Bible studies and one-on-one relationships. Our goal is to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Share Jesus
At First Denton we believe everyone is called by God to share Jesus with those who are not yet believers in Christ. We are all ministers and God gives us unique opportunities to share the gospel message with those in our circles of influence.

Recommitment Sunday May 15 • Both services On May 15, we will mark the halfway point of Building Generations. Everyone will be given the opportunity to “Recommit” to Building Generations, make a new commitment or commit for the first time. We will get an update on the project and celebrate what God has done these past 18 months. Job Position Opening We have two job positions open in our accounting department. To learn more about the jobs and how to apply, visit FirstDenton.org/jobs. Lord’s Supper We will be observing the Lord's Supper during both worship services next Sunday. We hope you will join us for this special time of remembrance. Deacons Meeting There will be a Deacon Meeting on Sunday, May 22 at 5 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
Deacon Nominations Beginning the week of May 8, the church body will have the opportunity to nominate candidates for the role of Deacon based on the Biblical qualifications outlined in 1 Timothy 3:8–13. Nominations can be made online, in the church office, or in upcoming Sunday bulletins. First Look June 1 • 6 pm • Fellowship Hall First Look is our membership class. This is a chance for new members and those who are interested in joining to see all that we have to offer. It is also an opportunity to get connected. A light supper will be served. Vacation Bible School June 13–17 • 9 am–12 pm Join us on a VBS adventure deep within the mysterious sea. This event is for all completed K–6th grade. VBS this year will be a collaborative effort with Southmont Baptist due to construction here at First Denton. To register, visit FirstDenton.org/vbs.
Kids Camp July 11–15 Kids Camp is for all completed third–sixth graders. It will be held July 11–15 at Camp Copass. The cost is $225 per person. To register, visit FirstDenton.org/kids-camp. Students
Meal N Deal Fundraiser May 15 • After both services The student ministry will have a live and silent auction to raise funds for Fuge Camp. There will be two rounds of meals and silent auctions, and the live auction will be held after the 11 am service. Tickets are $10. Stop by the student ministry or the front office to purchase your ticket. Adult 55+
39ers Lunch Adults 55+ will gather for a meal and fellowship on Friday, May 13 at 11:30 am. Bring a side dish or dessert to share. Worship & Music

Submerge Day Camp Submerge into new adventures this summer at Day Camp. Each day will have a different activity, and each week will have a new field trip. To register, pick up a form at the CLC. Elves Shelves Invitational May 27 • 7:30 am This year’s golf tournament promises to be a great event as we invite you for a fun-filled morning of golf, food and inspiration.
