We love God by living a life of genuine worship, prayer and study of God’s Word. Loving God means being fully devoted to Him and living a life of obedience.

Jesus said the world will know us by our love. We love people by first loving fellow believers in the church, and then loving and meeting the needs of people in Denton and around the world.
Make Disciples
Disciples are simply followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to make disciples through our worship services, Sunday Groups, Bible studies and one-on-one relationships. Our goal is to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Share Jesus
At First Denton we believe everyone is called by God to share Jesus with those who are not yet believers in Christ. We are all ministers and God gives us unique opportunities to share the gospel message with those in our circles of influence.

Steel Beam Signing Day Today everyone will have the opportunity to sign their name, write a Bible verse, or write a prayer on some of the steel beams in the new building. After both the 9:30 and 11 am services, you can “make your mark” in the gathering area of the building. Celebrate America July 3 • Both services First Denton presents Celebrate America 2016! Join us on Sunday, July 3 during the 9:30 and 11 am services for a program honoring our great nation. Celebrate America is presented by the Celebration Choir and Orchestra and will feature military recognition, flag presentation, honor guard, and a multimedia presentation. Deacon Ordination Service June 26 • 6 pm There will be an ordination service on Sunday, June 26 at 6 pm in the sanctuary for Doug Giles and Cory Largent. Please join us on this special night as we honor and ordain these two men and their service to our church and communities. Contribution Statements In an effort to be better stewards, the business office will be emailing the six month giving statements the first week of July. To facilitate this, we need you to email info@firstdenton.org where you want your giving statement emailed, along with your name and mailing address. Thank you for your help and understanding. Kinder Ready June 20–July 20 • 9 am–2 pm Kinder Ready is a class designed to help prepare your child academically for kindergarten. Class will meet each Monday and Wednesday for 5 weeks starting June 20. Cost is $100 per child. Deadline to register is June 6. PJ Music Party August 1–4 • 9 am–2 pm This is a music day camp for children ages 3–kindergarten. Cost is $60 for the whole week. To sign up, visit the preschool desk.

Preteen Hawaiian Falls August 16 • 8:30 am–5 pm Hawaiian Falls is a day filled with swimming, friends, and fun. All 3rd–5th graders are invited. The cost is $25 per child. Marino Scholarship for Baylor Students Baylor students who are members of First Baptist Church may apply to receive the Myrtle Marino Scholarship. Applications are available in the pastor’s office and must be returned by July 1, 2016. Adult 55+
Church Wide Revival July 17–20 • WC Join us for our Senior Adult-led Church Wide Revival. The Sunday service will be at 6 pm in the Worship Center. Monday–Wednesday services will begin at noon in the Worship Center. The guest evangelist will be Dr. Jimmy Draper, and our music evangelist will be our own Keith McGee. The First Denton Quartet will perform! Worship & Music
Celebrate America Choir Rehearsal Join us Wednesdays at 6:15 pm in the choir room. This is a great time to check out our worship choir and use your musical gifts to sing and worship the Lord. Celebrate America draws many visitors to our church, offering us a direct outreach to our community. Celebrate America Military Pictures If you would like to include a military picture of a church member or their family member for our military slideshow, please submit a jpeg file to Sandy Burke at sandyb@firstdenton.org with the military person’s name, highest rank, branch of service, era served, and relationship to church member. Last date to receive photos is Thursday, June 23.
