Jesus said the world will know us by our love. We love people by first loving fellow believers in the church, and then loving and meeting the needs of people in Denton and around the world.
Make Disciples
Disciples are simply followers of Jesus Christ. We seek to make disciples through our worship services, Sunday Groups, Bible studies and one-on-one relationships. Our goal is to become fully devoted followers of Christ.
Share Jesus
At First Denton we believe everyone is called by God to share Jesus with those who are not yet believers in Christ. We are all ministers and God gives us unique opportunities to share the gospel message with those in our circles of influence.

Fall Home Groups Beginning September 7 Home Groups are all about building community, cultivating lasting friendships and doing life together! Kid’s Night Out August 8 • 6–10 pm At Kid's Night Out, children ages birth–5th grade will enjoy an Olympic game night while mom and dad enjoy some time for themselves. Hawaiian Falls August 7 • 10 am–3:30 pm We have postponed our trip to Hawaiian Falls to August 7. All completed 3rd–5th graders are invited to cool off with us at Hawaiian Falls in Roanoke. The cost is $21 and includes a hamburger value meal and drink. Parents will need to provide transportation to and from Hawaiian Falls. You must pick up your child no later than 4 pm. P.I.E. Day People Interested in Eating This summer our Student Ministry will have Pie Day every Monday from 12–1 pm. Join us Monday, July 21 at 12 pm. We will be eating at Rosa's Cafe on Loop 288.
Family Swim Night August 6 • 7:30–9:30 pm Bring the whole family to a fun night at Denton Water Works. We have rented the entire water park just for our church. The cost is absolutely free! Come be a part of the fun and cool off from the summer heat. Adult 55+
Game Day July 22 • 1–4 pm • FH Our Adult 55+ Ministry meets for table games on the 4th Tuesday of each month from 1–4 pm in Fellowship Hall. Bring finger foods to share and come join the fun! Revival Our All Church Revival will begin on August 10 with Dr. Wayne Blankenship as our evangelist and Keith McGee leading our music. Sunday evening, we will meet in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30 pm for dessert and coffee followed by worship at 6 pm. The revival will continue August 11–13 with lunch at 11:30 am for $4 followed by a service at noon. Missions

Beat the Heat Golf Championship August 9 • 10:30 am–3:30 pm Our Beat the Heat Summer Golf Championship will take place at the Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club in Keller. Tee time is 10:30 am. The format is a two man scramble. Cost to play is $45 per player. The registration deadline is Friday, August 1.
