All Stars in Jillaroos squad by Anna Wallin illaroo team member Jessica Palmer has joined Minister Kate Lundy, Federal Minister for Sport in Canberra today to announce a sponsorship with the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) that will bolster the team’s 2013 World Cup preparations. “Teamwork and fellowship are at the heart of the both the Jillaroos and NAWIC,” Minister Kate Lundy said. “Both are striving to achieve world-class outcomes - whether that’s on the football field or on Australia’s construction sites. I look forward to cheering the Jillaroos to victory at the World Cup.” The national women’s teams is currently preparing to play at Rugby League’s 2013 ‘Festival of World Cups’ to be held in the UK this July with the team comprised of experienced players including Jess Palmer, Natalie Dwyer, Karen Murphy and Tahnee Norris as well as World Cup debutants Samantha Hammond, Ruan Sims and Emma Young. “We are thrilled to be supporting the Jillaroos in 2013,” NAWIC’s Chief Executive Officer, Sheryle Moon, said. “NAWIC is committed to furthering the career opportunities for women in a male-dominated industry and the opportunity to sponsor the Jillaroos was a natural fit for us.” Described as one of the strongest Jillaroos teams ever selected, the Australian team will face strong opposition from hosts England and cross-Tasman rivals New Zealand. The NZ Ferns have won all three World Cups since its inception in 2000. “This partnership with NAWIC is an exciting
