Who is your mob? My father’s people, Kombumerri, are from the Gold Coast in Queensland. My mother has English ancestry. Though I currently live in Sydney, I am positively 100% a Queenslander. Where did you go to school? I went to school in the 70s and 80s in the public school system in Brisbane. What does family mean to you? My family provide me with balance and support. And most of their influence, I am probably unaware of - they have just always been there. Without them, I would not have the good life I have today. What does culture mean to you? It is an integral part of who I am. It is multi-layered and dynamic. And I am privileged to be a guest to have glimpses into other people’s culture. What do you enjoy doing away from work? Resting, helping others, and sometimes just being alone to chill out where I can drop my ‘work role’ and just be me.
