Parent group rises from Easter hunt by Marcus Priaulx A parents group has risen from a Cherbourg Easter egg hunt on Tuesday. Lesley Bell and Dennis Broom held the event at the Ration Shed Museum and were joined by 19 parents and a tonne of kids. The children handed sandwiches around to adults and took part in an emu parade at the end of the event to leave the grounds sparkling clean. A conversation afterwards led parents to believe they could form a group that will continue to organise family events. “We’ll approach government agencies for a bit of guidance at the start but we want to organise the activities ourselves,” Ms Bell said. Mr Broome said the group would allow for parents to become more involved in their children’s lives. “People keep saying we need to do something for our children but then sit back and wait for somebody
