THIS LEGENDARY AND HISTORICAL RESORT IS CONSTANTLY REINVENTING ITSELF, PRESERVING WHAT HAS EARNED IT ITS REPUTATION IN THE HEART OF AN IDYLLIC SETTING

Summer is the ideal time to discover Mauritius by settling into Shangri-La Le Touessrok. Its main strengths include outstanding accommodation options ranging from luxurious ocean or garden suites to full-fledged lagoon villas, attentive and caring staff, a plethora of gastronomic offerings, and an almost infinite array of recreational activities.

This is achieved, among other things, through the welcoming presence of Luca Gallo, the new Executive Sous Chef of the hotel. With over 15 years of experience in luxury hospitality, notably in Italy and Mauritius, he is tasked with maintaining the gastronomic reputation of the hotel's four restaurants, offering a variety of world flavors ranging from Japan, India, to Mauritian cuisine to delight a diverse audience.

As for avid champagne enthusiasts or curious individuals seeking an original and exclusive experience, they can explore the Hypedomes from the renowned Champagne brand Veuve Clicquot. For the first time in Mauritius, a transparent geodesic dome will host customers for a unique gastronomic experience, available during breakfast, lunch, teatime, or dinner, featuring tailor-made menus accompanied by Veuve Clicquot Champagne.

Finally, wine takes center stage with the inauguration of "Vinoteca," a dedicated wine tasting cellar at the hotel offering more than 200 references of wines from around the world. Anthony Bouitka, the new Head Sommelier at Shangri-La Le Touessrok, will be responsible for this exclusive new venue.

To satisfy the more sports-oriented and adventurous guests, in addition to the already extensive range of activities, including golf, tennis, archery, sailing, snorkeling, water skiing, fitness, or yoga, Shangri-La Le Touessrok now offers its guests the opportunity to try kayaking to explore the mangrove.

Within the hotel's private island, Ilot Mangénie, guests will venture into the heart of this wild nature through crystal-clear waters during a private guided kayak tour.
