Glory 943G is here with her first calf. She is dark red, deep ribbed and has a beautiful udder with obviously strong milk flow. She is a typical Bar-E-L Cadet 1C daughter, moderate size, easy keeping, with excellent mothering instincts. Glory is carrying early service to Red JJL Authentic 84G, a gentle powerhouse from the top of the 2020 JJL bullpen. He is the softest made, easiest fleshing bull we have ever stood next to, and he calved like a dream. We put our Cadet daughters with this bull because we felt the result would be tremendous. So here she is at the start of her breeding years, proof of her ability at side, carrying service with great potential.

Heather 617D is one of those cows that gets noticed whenever someone tours our pasture; both for her production and her phenotype...then when you look at her paper you notice the pedigree! She is sired by our Answer 10X bull that we used for several years. He produced some outstanding outcross sons for some progressive breeders while leaving his legacy through his phenomenal daughters. I actually got asked today if we happened to have some semen drawn on 10X. SAV Final Answer 0035 left a legacy on the black side for his daughters and it’s not every day you can secure a red granddaughter. Here’s another part, take a look at her production, she’s had three sons make the bull sale and all three have been at the top with her first son, Gambler 810F, being a high seller. Now here, quite possibly, is the most interesting part of the equation...she carries one of the first services offered to our newest acquisition in Kenray Merit Red Boss 31H. Both Kenray and Merit shook up the breed with their partnership purchase of a flush on the highly decorated Freyja 29E at Masterpiece. Anybody that has followed our program knows that we are constantly pushing the bar and using outcross genetics to produce something different from the mainstream. MRLA 23F is a sire we partnered up with Brylor to purchase from McMillan’s a few years ago to infuse the SAV Resource bloodline into our herd. He has turned the heads of many astute producers and sale professionals whenever they tour either the pastures of Pincher Creek, AB or Tilston, MB. He has a near perfect foot and leg structure, plenty of muscle expression, a great productive mother and an exceptional disposition. He has held his condition remarkably well in a tough year with almost 50 females in his pasture. Look at her dam again. She has very maternal outcross genetics that you don’t see every day.
