The ULTIMATE Batman Collectible BATMOBILE TM A Replica of the 1966 Batmobile Vehicle TM and Copyright DC Comics Fiberglass Freaks of Logansport, Indiana, is authorized by DC Comics to build officially licensed 1966 Batmobile replicas. 574-733-3237 www.fiberglassfreaks.com

FEATURES: Fiberglass Freaks' 1966 Batmobile Replicas have all of the great features that you fondly remember from the TV show: Those long batfins, the double bubble windshields, a polished five door roll-top dash, the flashing red beacon light, that funky striping, those crazy labels on the dash, the chrome triple rocket tubes, the gold Batbeam antenna grid that raises automatically, and even a working propane flamethrower out the rocket tube!

FIT AND FINISH: We carefully align the hood, doors, and trunk to make sure the gaps are even. Those long fins are sanded to perfection before first prime. The car must be absolutely immaculate before the paint is applied. The car is pre-assembled to make sure the fit of all the parts, interior and exterior, is perfect. This insures a flawless final assembly. While some would be satisfied with a "factory quality" paint job, that isn't good enough for Fiberglass Freaks. The paint job is just as important to us as the performance. The paint job is meticulously wet-sanded to a perfect finish before the buffer is allowed to touch the car.

ARE THEY DRIVERS? Not only are Fiberglass Freaks' 1966 Batmobile Replicas absolutely gorgeous, they are also most definitely DRIVERS. All of the historical problems with the original 1966 Batmobile on the series are no problem for Fiberglass Freaks. Our cars are equipped with shrouded twin electric fans that keep the engine running cool. The cars have been roadtested at highway speeds as well as for city driving. With all new suspension and steering parts, it's like driving a brand new car. The car is equipped with steel wheel well tubs to protect the fiberglass body from rocks. We use heavy-walled square tubing throughout the car for added strength. The cars also have working headlights, turn signals, park lamps, and brake lights, making them driveable, functional cars.

WHAT WORKS? We live in a tactile world. When you jump into your 1966 Batmobile replica, you want everything to have a function. Fiberglass Freaks doesn't disappoint on the working features: Electric actuators open the hood and trunk, a dial raises the gold Batbeam antenna grid, working gear shift and turn indicator lights adorn the dashtop, the Detect-a-scope flashes with a green lightning effect, and an LCD screen built into the dash provides a place to play your favorite DVD scenes from the 1966 Batman Movie (but not while driving, of course!).

DRIVING FUN: Driving a 1966 Batmobile replica is unlike driving any other car on the PLANET. You don't want this car if you don't like attention! Everywhere you go, you will have the most interesting vehicle. This car is timeless. Even people that have never seen the 1966 Batman TV show GET this car. It transcends race, age, and gender. Everyone smiles when you drive past. Your kids and grandkids will love it when you pick them up from school. And talk about having the best prop at a birthday party--this car is IT! There's nothing more fun than being in the drive-through at your favorite fast food joint. Everyone in the restaurant is plastered against the glass to see the Batmobile!

TECHNICAL: Fiberglass Freaks' 1966 Batmobile Replicas begin life as 1970's Lincoln Town Cars. The frames and floor pans are sandblasted and powdercoated before all new suspension, brakes, and steering are mounted. The Freaks give you a brand new GM crate 350 engine and a new GM TH350 transmission. The automatic gear shifter is on the floor, next to the batphone. The car bodies are 3/8" thick fiberglass with a steel substructure. The hood, trunk, and door hinges are rugged and serviceable. The cars are 18'10" long, 6'9" wide, and weigh about 4,000 pounds.

FIBERGLASS FREAKS: Fiberglass Freaks has been in business for seven years, and we have completed fifteen of these magnificent cars. Owner Mark Racop is obsessed with the 1966 Batmobile. He has over 30 gigabytes of data on the car. Quality, features, and accuracy are the driving forces behind Fiberglass Freaks' success. With an incredible team of artisans behind him, Racop continues to push the envelope with new features on every car, always trying to outdo the previous one.

THE PROCESS You can buy one of our 1966 Batmobile Replicas for $150,000. We ask for a $50,000 deposit, $50,000 when the body is mounted to the chassis, $30,000 when the car is in first prime, $15,000 when the car is painted, and the balance of $5,000 upon completion. You can make comfortable payments along the way, as long as the balance is paid by the completion of those tasks. Each car takes 6 months to build; we build 3-4 at a time. Your approximate delivery date will be determined at the time of making the initial deposit.
