HC seeks plan on K’pura drain
First India Bureau Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court on Wednesday directed the UDH, JDA, JMC and others to present an action plan before the court to stop encroachments in the catchment area of Kartarpura Nullah, else concerned officials be pre- sent in court on May 30.

The division bench of Acting Chief Justice MM Srivastava and Justice Anil Upman while hearing a PIL filed by one Rajendra Prasad observed that on October 19, 2022, the High Court had ordered the state government to present an action plan for the development of the drain in eight weeks, but even after six months, no plan has been presented.

General Manager Consumers Union Anil Kumar informed that an average sale of Rs 18 to 20 lakh has been registered in the fair every day and spices worth more than Rs 1 crore have been sold in six days. He informed that lucky draw is being conducted daily and the enthusiasm of people to buy dry fruits from Uttarakhand remains intact. Folk festivals enriching the art and culture of Rajasthan are also being organized on different days in the fair.
