Metal auction: Bidding stopped by investors

The Mines department got a setback when directors did not show interest in all three blocks of base metal. There were three companies in the fray for the Khaklia Kheda block of Rajsamand.

Two companies were in the fray for Udaipur’s Pipaliya block of Mavli two contenders were for Bhilwara’s Manpura block as well. Composite licence of all blocks was to be auctioned but investors pulled their hands from bidding due to lack of mineral reserve.

The department will send a report to GSI to prove minerals, after which the process of mining licence will be adopted instead of composite.
