AAP leaders, workers protested at BJP offices across Rajasthan

Jaipur. The Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday held demonstrations outside the BJP offices across the state, demanding the formation of a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) for the investigation of the Gautam Adani case.
A protest was also organized by the party in Jaipur. The workers marched towards the BJP headquarters raising slogans against the central government but the police stopped them from moving ahead.
The party members confronted the policemen. The police chased away the workers. In the demonstration led by state election in-charge
Vinay Mishra, the party alleged that the police used lathis, due to which many workers were injured. After the protest, the Aam Aadmi Party workers also courted arrest.

Baran: Nearly eight armed robbers barged into a jewellery shop in Baran on Saturday night and decamped with 100 kgs of silver and other gold ornaments worth over Rs 1 crore, police said. The robbery took place at Ramchandra Ganesh Lal Goyal’s jewellery shop. “The shop owner, Gautam Kumar Goyal, brother Kishan Goyal got up from sleep after he heard the sound of things being vandalised. He confronted the miscreants, but they injured him and fled from the spot with the jewellery,” police said.
First India Bureau Kota: Nearly 49 students had a narrow escape on Sunday after a girl’s PG located in the Jawahar Nagar area engulfed in fire, police said. “The incident took place around 3 pm in Khush Girls Hostel. A fire broke out in the electric panel of the hostel mess which later engulfed the complete food area. Fire tenders were immediately rushed,” said CFO Rakesh Vyas.
“The locals pulled out the girls from the hostel and rescued them. It took around an hour to completely douse the flames,” added Vyas.
To The Rescue
An injured male panther was brought from Jhunjhunu’s Khetri to Jaipur on Sunday. Dr Arvind Mathur, RFO Vijay Faganiya were in the rescue team. The 15-year-old panther will be treated at the Amer Rescue Center.

GBM held, `88 cr budget passed in Niwai

Niwai: A general meeting was organized on Niwai, Municipality premises in which Municipality president Dilip Israni passed a budget of Rs 88 crore 40 lakh 76 thousand for 2023-2024. He welcomed MLA Prashant Bairwa with a garland and turban. In the meeting, a 2-minute tribute was paid to former council- lor Raju Bhatte Wale, Ramavatar Tamboli. The auction of Tagore Nagar was approved by all the councillors in the meeting.

Discussions were held for the construction of the bus stand and construction of Central Park was also approved. Besides, construction of Chowpatty was also considered. Regarding the unveiling of the statue of Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phule, approval was given on the promotion of the employees, confirmation of the employee, compassionate appointment, auction of municipal waste. The width mentioned in the master plan of Jaipur Tonk Road and Jhilai Road was discussed.

In the suicide case of a 17-year-old girl student who jumped from the 10th floor in Kota, the police arrested a woman living in the hostel. A day earlier, the relatives of the deceased girl student had accused the woman and her son of threatening their daughter. The police have also registered a case against the minor son of the woman. Bikaner (FIB): A woman was allegedly strangled to death by her husband in Pugal area of Bikaner, police said. Police informed that the deceased has been identified as Kalawati.
“The victim died on Feb 8 and it was said that Kalawati was killed in a mishap while taking out milk from the cow. However, based on suspicion, the maternal relatives of the woman filed a murder case. The husband, Ganga Bishan was charged for harassing,” police said. “During interrogation, the accused accepted that he strangled his wife and killed her,” police added.
