Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s (NMMC) under-construction elevated storage reservoir (ESR) in sector 1A, Shiravane, has been leaking for around 15 days. Locals have raised serious concerns over the poor construction work leading to the leakages.

The NMMC has constructed a 1.8 MLD capacity overhead water tank in a garden at a cost of Rs7.18 crore to serve a population of 50,000. The construction began in July 2020, and locals claim that the garden area has been permanently affected and cannot be restored.
