Panchayat Samiti members, ration dealers gherao Assembly

Jaipur: The members of local bodies on Thursday gheraoed the State Assembly demanding fulfilment of their ninepoint demands. The members of panchayat samiti, municipal councils and ward panch gathered at the 22 Godown and raised slogans against the government.

First India Bureau Jaipur: The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting will be held on March 21. Three bills will come up in the assembly on March 20. These are regarding Amte University, MSME and Municipal amendment bill. On March 21, the Right to Health, Advocates Protection Bill and Jai Minesh Adivasi University Bill will be tabled.

Ramesh Meena, Rathore enter into verbal spat

First India Bureau Jaipur: The house witnessed uproar during the reply by panchayati raj minister Ramesh Meena. Deputy leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore raised objection to the allegations of the minister on Rathore.

The minister accused the former BJP government of corruption in the panchayati raj department. Rathore objected to this and said that the minister should give notice if he has to make allegations.

Rathore also accused the minister of insulting the chair. After heated arguments with the minister, Rathore along with the party MLAs staged a walkout. The minister then gave the reply in the house in the absence of the opposition. Meanwhile, Rathore met the speaker CP Joshi in his chamber on the issue.
