Jodhpur: To arrest the permanent warranties in the city, on Saturday morning, the police arrested about two hundred warranties by running Operation Arunodaya. Lawyers hold talks with govt for Advocates

Jaipur (FIB): All five main conveners of the Lawyers’ Sangharsh Committee held talks with Principal Secretary Law Gyan Prakash Gupta on Saturday for the amendment in the Rajasthan Advocates Protection Bill-2023.
Kamal Kishore Sharma, Ranjit Joshi, Mahendra Shandilya, Ravi Bhansali and Vivek Sharma met the officer and held talks. During this, Bar Council of Rajasthan Chairman GS Rathore and Additional Advocate General Vibhuti Bhushan were also present. The conveners said that the bill should be amended in favor of the lawyers. The principal secy has assured the lawyers to get the amendments done. In the Bill presented by the state govt in the Vidhansabha on March 15, a provision has been made that the protection will be given only if the crime is committed inside the court premises.

As per the police, this operation was conducted on the instructions of the police headquarters to arrest permanent warranties in the district. Under this, various teams were sent to 600 places. During this, 46 permanent warranties, absconding for a long time were arrested.
Ajmer: In a major crackdown on criminals in the city, locations of 61 historysheeters were raided and 28 habitual criminals were interrogated in the police stations. The crackdown was performed on Saturday under the ‘Vajra Prahar’. 200 police officers and employees raided several locations of history-sheeters, and booked habitual criminals for breach of peace, said ASP City Sushil Kumar. The police are keeping an eye on the active and old criminals involved in criminal activities. So that criminal incidents in Ajmer can be curbed, Sushil Kumar added.
