ohingya refugees have become a cause of embar rassment for the Central govern ment after a minister and a ministry openly disagreed on their settlement in Delhi. A minister of the stature of Hardeep Puri, who holds the Housing and Urban Affairs portfolio, is not known for is suing flippant statements. A former diplomat, he must be used to weighing every word before uttering it. What prompted him to announce that Rohingya refugees in Delhi would be shifted to EWS flats in West Delhi would be known only to him. As a reaffirmation he also tweeted that India has always welcomed those seeking “ref uge”, even though that is not wholly true. Puri assured the Rohingya refugees that they “will be provided basic ameni ties, UNHCR IDs” and round the clock police protection. The Union minister’s welcom ing assurances were rejected by the Union Home ministry which stated a few hours later denying any move to resettle the “illegal refugees”. The Home ministry said that it had not given any directions to pro vide EWS flats to the illegal migrants. These Rohingyas had to flee their country Myan mar after the army dislodged the elected government. The tweets have stirred up a row with the BJP now blaming the Aam Aadmi Party for de manding EWS flats for the Ro hingyas. The AAP hit back say ing that the BJP government was “secretly trying to give permanent residence to the Ro hingyas in Delhi” and that the Delhi government won’t allow this “conspiracy” to succeed. Rehabilitating Rohingyas became a communal issue when they first arrived in the country and assimilating them won’t be easy.

Employee Management - Can Destroy Your Company or Take It To Next Level

n organization is a set of peo ple that work for specific ob jectives, it is the employee that run it. The future of any organization depends on the type of people who work there. Proper and well planned men’s groups for work is called Talent Manage ment. The fate of the organi zation depends on the skill set of the people working in the organization. If a person with a correct skill set takes the organization in the right direction, then the organiza tion and employees are opti mally developed. Sometimes it happens that the turnover of the company increases, but the system and talent management practice in the company is negligible and there is a time when the com pany is likely to fall from its employees’ salaries and other expenses. The companies who can organize their hu man resource in proper way have a strong foundation. Recently, the world’s lead ing company E & Y surveyed on the company’s Talent Management and how they can grow by organizing it in correct way. In this survey, the world’s top 600 officials took part. These officials came out with beautiful things in the discussion. The organization which will give more freedom to the employ ees to work will grow more than others. The officials fur ther stated that every organi zation should develop meth od or systems so that each employee can work with their own responsibility. Eve ry employee must know ex actly what type of work they are doing and how they want to contribute to the company at the end of the year. Also the organization which does not give freedom to its em ployees for decision making does not grow very quickly. The second thing in this survey that came out was that a very few companies are involved in talent man agement related programs or investments and due to this reason the company’s growth in manufacturing is less. As a result, there are lot of peo ple in the organization but the lack of proper planning does not benefit the organiza tion very much. Only 10% of the companies have a scheme to give opportunities to its present employees rather than appointing new people. Doing this gives new oppor tunities to the employees working from a long time who have contributed more in the development of the or ganization.

IMPORTANCE OF TALENT MANAGEMENT

UPADHYAYBHAVESH

z If the employees consider themselves as partners to the company, and that kind of environment is developed than the company is certainly going to develop, grow and make more profits. The company’s management has to make certain efforts to create such an environment.

More than 54% of the offi cials said in this survey that just 43% of companies have a strong pipeline to create fu ture leadership talent and 38% of the companies have the eligibility metrics for se lecting their organization’s leadership candidates. Few companies focus on skill ori ented leaders. Only 26% of companies have met the crite ria to select effective leaders for their organization. Due to these stats we now come to know that how much a com pany is serious in talent man agement and acquisition. Studying in depth knowl edge of talent management, we get an indication that em ployees can give a very im portant contribution in the growth of a company. Taking from the workforce planning, making right choice in em ployees and till the employee come on board the company has to properly induct them about the organization, their role-based responsibility has to be decided and efforts need to be made continuously to make them contribute to the company. If this whole sys tem is not done with a good work plan then a person will only be recruited in the com pany but will not make any special contribution. It the company wants to develop than the company has to un derstand the flow and follow it accordingly.

Patna (ANI): Bihar CM Nitish Kumar reacted angrily after a senior legislator from his party JDU, Bima Bharti, said she’s upset at not being made a minister while her party colleague, Leshi Singh, is in the cabinet again. “I cannot make everyone a minister every time,” Kumar said, underlining that Bima Bharti had also been minister twice. “This kind of behaviour isn’t done. The party will speak with her calmly. If she understands, fine. If my allegation against her is wrong, then I will resign as an MLA,” Bharti further said. But Nitish Kumar was having none of it. “She (Leshi Singh) was minister in 2013, 2014, 2019 too. There was nothing like this (allegation) against her then. This is all meaningless,” he told reporters during an interaction in Patna.

Sharat K Verma New Delhi: Not many people know that the socialists have had an impact in the Northeast since the days of the Ja nata Dal. Nitish Ku mar’s party has been in good shape in at least three states - Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. Six of its MLAs from Arunachal Pradesh were lured in by BJP and merged with their party. In the elections this year, six MLAs of Nitish’s party have won. So, as soon as they change their direction, the wind has started changing in Northeast. In Manipur itself, ear lier there was an oppo sition of five Congress MLAs and one Inde pendent, which has now become 11 MLAs. On the other hand, BJP’s allies in both Meghalaya and Naga land have shown their attitude.NPPleader Konrad Sangma, heading a fiveparty government in Meghalaya, has said his party will not align with BJP in next year’s polls. The BJP is still a part of the government but Sangma has made it clear that both the par ties will contest the elections separately. Re cently, the Meghalaya Police arrested a senior functionary of the BJP organisation, who was running a brothel at a farm house. A huge quantity of arms and ammunition were also found from there. In Na galand also BJP’s ally NDPP has rubbished reports of merger with BJP. CM Neiphiu Rio has said his party will contest 40 of the 60 seats in the state and leave 20 for the BJP.

Rahul Gandhi tion. YOU READ IT IN FIRST INDIA ON AUGUST 18, 2022 Will serve people till my last breath: Gehlot From Pg 1... Magic is different in which I believe, it involves tricks, but this black magic is something else,” he said. Gehlot’s remarks came after PM Modi had lashed out at Congress for wearing black dresses on August 5 in protest against price rise, saying those who believe in “kala jadu” will never be able to win people’s trust again. Asked if his magic was working and whether it would trump the BJP, Gehlot said, “My magic is permanent in the state. I am a permanent jaadugar there. It is different kind of magic which is constant. You look at the magic, the time I have always got for serving the people.” “My aim is to serve people till my last breath, to wipe their tears,” the Chief Minister said, adding that governments come and go but he stand strongly with this principle.

Delay in ‘selection,’ making next Cong prez’s appointment a joke! New Delhi: The ‘selection’ of next Congress President through ‘election’ seems to be fast becoming a joke. With each passing day, a fresh news comes and speculations are made on ‘new’ faces for the position. However, as fast as these speculations reach a crescendo, almost equally fast they end up being nothing more than mere speculations. For example, recently it was said that Rahul Gandhi is not ready to become Party President. So the real question is: When will Sonia Gandhi stop this joke happening at the nationalMeanwhile, level? now Bharat Singh Solanki has also jumped into the matter and forwarded the name of Ashok Gehlot, even though everyone knows that Chief Minister Gehlot will not leave Rajasthan.

Talking to reporters on last day of his visit, Gehlot said, “Many people, such as activists and journalists, have been jailed by the BJP across the country. They are fascist, who are winning elections only on the issue of religion. Otherwise, BJP does not have any ideology, policy or governance model. How governments were toppled in Goa, Karnataka, Manipur, MP and Maharashtra. We somehow saved Rajasthan, otherwise I wouldn’t have been sitting here as CM and someone else would have been in my place. I am saved by your blessings.” “Politics based on religion is the easiest of all and even Adolf Hitler indulged in it,” he said. Gehlot, who was in-charge of the Gujarat Congress in 2017, said, “We were very close to winning 2017 Assembly polls. But unfortunately, the way PM Modi pitched himself and acted like a Bollywood actor during the campaign, we lost. To gain sympathy, he even distorted Congress leader Mani Shakar Aiyar’s remark and claimed that Aiyar called him a ‘neechaadmi’ (lowly person).” In the 182-member House, BJP had won 99 seats, while Cong had bagged 77 seats in 2017 Gujarat polls. Referring to exit of several Cong MLAs, he said Guj BJP has given “horse trading model” to country. He also slammed Modi govt for introducing electoral bonds, which according to him, doesn’t provide a level playing field for other parties because majority of donations are going to BJP under it.

MITALI DUSAD Cityfirst@firstindia.co.in with Love anmashtami and food have a unique relationship and that can be seen every year on this auspicious day that marks the birth of Lord Krishna. On this day, there are a few signature preparations that are offered to Lord Krishna, keeping his love for milk and milk products in mind. Some devotees also observe a day-long fast and prepare bhog as an offering to the deity. There are just a few ingredients that can be consumed during Janmashtami fasting. For instance, dry fruits, sabudana, Amarnath, makhana, buckwheat and a few more. In the Hindu Holy Book, Bhagavad Gita says that whenever evil predominates and there’s a decline in religion, God himself will reincarnate to kill the evil and restore humanity andJanmashtamigoodness. is an example of this saying. During the rule of King Kansa, evil practices were at their extremes. Hence, Vishu (Hindu God) reincarnated as Lord Krishna to destroy the evil from the world and spread the message of love, peace, and harmony.

MAAKHAN MISRI Lord Krishna is very very fond of white butter or ‘maakhan’. There are innumerable stories of little Krishna stealing butter from the pots of Gopis. Hence, he is fondly known as ‘Maakhan Chor’. So the best way to celebrate this festival is to devour a lovely sweet made out of his favourite, maakhan. So, this Janmashtami, do gorge on Maakhan Misri. It’s very easy to prepare. All you have to do is mix sugar with freshly churned butter. You can also add some buts to the creamy mixture. It’s truly yum!

SABUDANA KHEER For desserts, sabudana kheer is apt to put together this thali. Sabudana kheer is a traditional kheer where rice or seviyan is replaced with sabudana pearls. The rest of the steps and methods for making this kheer are almost the same.
