NEFARIOUS 2 foreigners held with $90K, 2.5kg gold paste at airport

Mumbai: Customs officials have arrested two foreign nationals with $90,000 and more than 2.5kg gold paste (worth about Rs1.5 crore) hidden in books and undergarments in separate operations at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai.

A man from Azerbaijan travelling to Sharjah, was intercepted by the Customs team on Sunday. The money was found hidden in books that the accused was carrying, he said.
In a similar operation, a man from Palestine, was caught with more than 2.5kg of gold paste.
The duo has been arrested and booked under relevant sections of the Customs Act.
