Jaipur: Several national leaders of BJP will address the party’s Jan Aakrosh Yatra in Rajasthan in the second phase. All the 200 assembly constituencies will be covered through the Mahasabha by January 10. The Jan Aakrosh Yatra was launched by the party president under which yatras were taken out in all the constituencies to corner the state government on its fourth anniversary.
Now the Jan Aakrosh meetings are being held in constituencies.
So far, meetings in 95 constituencies have been held.

Jaipur : In a major move to increase voter participation, Election Commission has developed a prototype of a remote electronic voting machine (RVM) for domestic migrant voters. If implemented after stakeholder consultations, migrant voters do not need to travel to their home district to caste their vote.
The multi-constituency remote EVM, developed by a public sector undertaking, can handle up to 72 constituencies from a single remote polling booth, the statement issued by the poll watchdog said.

initiative for voters. Jaipur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Satish Poonia, on Thursday, said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should investigate the RPSC paper leak. He said that the alleged suicide by the youth over the cancellation of the paper is a “murder”.
“CBI should investigate the exam paper leak case. Now it is not a crime but a sin because when a young man dies by suicide for this, then it is not suicide but it is murder, Ashok Gehlot’s govt is guilty of it,” said Poonia. Officials informed the girl, Isha Yadav, was part of the Girish Parmar gang, who used to sexually exploit girls for giving marks. Thane (PTI): With the arrest of six persons from Rajasthan, the police on Thursday claimed to have solved the theft of Rs 26 lakh from an ATM at Bhiwandi in Maharashtra’s Thane district. Unidentified persons had broken into an ATM of HDFC Bank at Purna in Bhiwandi on December 10 and decamped with Rs 26,04,500, said a senior inspector. Jaipur: The police on Thursday arrested a close aide of RPSC paper leak episode mastermind, Bhupendra Saran. Karni Vihar police raided the Sodala police station area. Hanuman Vishnoi was arrested from the Sodala area and Rs 19,36,500 were recovered from the house of the accused. Earlier, the police had arrested five members including Bhupendra Saran’s wife and a woman.
Jaipur: Demand to increase the number of IAS officers by 16 per cent has been raised in Rajasthan.
Cadre review was to be held in 2021 but due to a lack of consensus, the matter was postponed till 2023.
According to the advisory of PMO on 1st July 2013, only a 5 per cent increase can be done in any State in the cadre review but Rajasthan’s complaint is that after 2013, a 28 per cent increase has been done in many
States and with this increase, the number of IAS officers in Rajasthan could have increased to 372.
The state currently has 313 sanctioned posts of IAS officers which would increase
to 365 if Rajasthan’s demand for a 16 per cent cadre review is accepted.
The number of IAS officers in the state will be 329 if a 5 per cent increase is allowed.

New Delhi: The National Green Tribunal has formed a panel to assess the ground situation and take remedial action regarding the pollution of a rivulet in UP connected to Rapti River. The Rapti river is a part of Ganga river basin. The tribunal was hearing petitions which claimed two sugar mills in Balrampur district were discharging untreated industrial effluents into a stormwater drain which was then released into the Suwaon Nala, a rain-fed rivulet, connected to Rapti.
New Delhi: The UP govt on Thursday moved the Supreme Court challenging the Allahabad High Court order quashing its draft notification on the urban local body elections and directing the state to hold the polls without reservation for the Other Backward Classes. The state government, in its appeal against the December 27 order, has said that the high court cannot quash the December 5 draft notification which had provided reservation of seats in the urban body polls for the OBC – apart from those for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and women.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court has sought the response of the Centre and others on a plea alleging violations in environmental clearance granted to the Polavaram multipurpose irrigation project. A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and MM Sundresh issued notices to the Centre, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Odisha while seeking their replies. “Issue notice, returnable in the month of February, 2023,” the bench said.

The BJP received the highest amount of donations from electoral trusts (ETs) in fiscal year 2021-22, at Rs 351.50 crore making up 72.17 per cent of the total donations received by all parties, as per a detailed report by the Association for Democratic Reforms.
The Prudent ET donated the highest amount (Rs 336.50 crore) to the BJP, against Rs 209 crore contributed in FY 2020-21. AB General ET and Samaj ET donated Rs 10 crore and Rs 5 crore to the BJP in FY 2021-22, respectively.
After BJP, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) received the second highest amount of Rs 40 crore, with Prudent ET being the only donor.
The Congress and AAP have received a total of Rs 18.43 crore and

Durga Shankar Mishra, country’s most senior IAS officer of 1984 batch, is counted among the most trusted officers of PM Narendra Modi.

Bengaluru: MS Prabhakara, a senior journalist and writer better known by his pen name ‘Kamaroopi’ in Kannada literary circles, passed away on Thursday. He was 87. He died of age-related ailments at his residence in Kolar, sources said on Thursday. Sources further added that Prabhakara was unmarried and his body has been donated to MS Ramaiah Hospital here by extended family.
Bodh Gaya: A Chinese woman was detained by Bihar police on Thursday for an alleged threat to Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama.
The woman, Song Xiaolan, had been living in India since 2020 overstaying her visa period, and she will now be deported, police informed in a press note. She had come to India to take “preaching” lessons from Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama.
“She first came to India on October 19, 2019, to take preaching from Dalai Lama,” the release stated.
Guwahati: A 3.5 magnitude earthquake hit north-central part of Assam on Thursday, an official bulletin said. There was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property, it said. The earthquake took place at 12.27 pm, and the epicentre was in Darrang district on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra river. The depth of the quake was 10 km, it said. Residents of Morigaon and Nagaon felt the tremor, besides those in Udalguri, Tamulpur, Kamrup and Sonitpur districts.

Jaipur: The Jaipur Police Commissionerate has made special arrangements regarding law and order on the eve of the New Year on December 31. Extra police personnel will be deployed at railway stations, temples, malls, bus stands and other prominent places for the safety of people.
Police officials informed that those found driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol will be arrested and their vehicles will
also be seized. Driving licenses will also be cancelled for those flouting norms.
“In Jaipur, there will be 142 checkpoints and police mobile units will do patrolling in the city. Those found driving cars after drinking alcohol will be kept behind bars for one day in the police station. The jawans of ERT and QRT will also be deployed in the city and movements of vehicles and people will be monitored by Abhay Command Centre,” informed a police official.

Pali: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot while addressing the inaugural session of 6th Sneh Sammelan of the Sadri Jain community , threw light on various projects ranging from flagship schemes of the government, visited Ranakpur Jain temple and wished for State’s prosperity.
