BJP TO ROPE IN NAT’L LEADERS IN JAY

Jaipur: Several national leaders of BJP will address the party’s Jan Aakrosh Yatra in Rajasthan in the second phase. All the 200 assembly constituencies will be covered through the Mahasabha by January 10. The Jan Aakrosh Yatra was launched by the party president under which yatras were taken out in all the constituencies to corner the state government on its fourth anniversary.

Now the Jan Aakrosh meetings are being held in constituencies.

So far, meetings in 95 constituencies have been held.

National General Secretary of the party

Kailash Vijayvargiya will address a meeting in Pali on Friday.

Union Minister VK Singh will address Jan Aakrosh Sabha in Jodhpur on January 2 while Union Minister Parshottam Rupala will address another Sabha in Dungarpur district on January 3.

The state unit of the

BJP has urged several other ministers at the Center and national level leaders to come on any date till January 10.

Earlier, under the Jan Aakrosh Yatra, the party had created an atmosphere against the state government.

The party sources said that the Jan Aakrosh meetings were

planned after the response received from the people in this yatra and this is the reason why the BJP has engaged senior leaders in public meetings.

State president Satish Poonia and deputy leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore have addressed maximum meetings.

Rajyavardhan S Rathore, GS Tiwari, Diya Kumari during Jan Aakrosh Mahasabha in Alwar on Thursday.

Bansur (Alwar): BJP MP Ghanshyam Tiwari and MP Diya Kumari on Thursday took part in Jan Aakrosh Sabha held in Ramleela Maidan in Bansur, Alwar. M3 EVM can be a game changer for migrants

Jaipur : In a major move to increase voter participation, Election Commission has developed a prototype of a remote electronic voting machine (RVM) for domestic migrant voters. If implemented after stakeholder consultations, migrant voters do not need to travel to their home district to caste their vote.

The multi-constituency remote EVM, developed by a public sector undertaking, can handle up to 72 constituencies from a single remote polling booth, the statement issued by the poll watchdog said.

After focusing on youth and urban apathy, remote voting will be a transformational

initiative for voters. Many times migrants are reluctant to get themselves enrolled at their place of work for various reasons such as frequently changing residences, not enough social and emotional connect with the issues of area of migration, unwillingness to get their name deleted in an electoral roll of their home as they have permanent residence or property,” the poll panel said.

PAPER LEAK: SUICIDE BY YOUTH OVER PAPER CANCELLATION IS ‘MURDER’, ALLEGES SATISH POONIA

CBI should investigate RPSC paper leak: Poonia

First India Bureau

Jaipur: BJP State President Satish Poonia, on Thursday, lashed out at the entire Congress and said that Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law

Robert Vadra, who is no less than a mafia, grabbed the land of the farmers of Rajasthan.

It is unfortunate that the Chief Minister and the Congress government have tried to cover it up, he said.

Poonia has said that the Congress party got a chance to rule the country for a very long time. “The public recognized the Congress party’s rule of 55 years in 2014 and that was the reason why on issues of policy, anarchy, casteism, communalism, the people of India rejected the Congress.

When asked why former CM Vasundhara Raje has not addressed the Jan Aakrosh Yatra, he said that she has her own busy schedule and family responsibilities and because of these she has not been able to attend meetings. “But the party is fully united. We are not like Congress. In our party, there is no need to resign, or to make a statement or badabandi,” he said.

Jaipur: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Satish Poonia, on Thursday, said that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should investigate the RPSC paper leak. He said that the alleged suicide by the youth over the cancellation of the paper is a “murder”.

“CBI should investigate the exam paper leak case. Now it is not a crime but a sin because when a young man dies by suicide for this, then it is not suicide but it is murder, Ashok Gehlot’s govt is guilty of it,” said Poonia. On being asked about Gudha’s statement, he said, “I will thank Minister Gudha that he showed moral courage and spoke truth.” —with ANI input

IAS cadre review: Govt demands 16% increase

Jaipur: Demand to increase the number of IAS officers by 16 per cent has been raised in Rajasthan.

Cadre review was to be held in 2021 but due to a lack of consensus, the matter was postponed till 2023.

to 365 if Rajasthan’s demand for a 16 per cent cadre review is accepted.

The Indian RM asserted need to counter transnational and cross border terrorism in the region and have raised concerns on ongoing ASEAN-China negotiations on the code of conduct in South China Sea and asserted the need to abide by international law and should not be unbalancing the region peace and security.

The rise of China accompanied by its growing assertiveness in South China Sea and East China Sea has been a cause of concern for many ASEAN countries. These countries view India as a possible partner in their effort to maintain balance of power and peace in the region.

Although the trade between both regions has crossed US$80 billion mark, however it is skewed against India. This is primarily attributed to Free trade agreement (FTA) with ASEAN resulting into flooding of cheap imported products into India. India’s geostrategic interests in the Indo-Pacific region depend on India’s bilateral and multilateral engagements with the countries in the region. Maintaining cordiality with ASEAN as an organisation and with the individual Southeast Asian countries remains crucial for India

Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), an international organisation was established by the governments of five countries Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand in 1967 to accelerate economic growth, social progress, and cultural development and to promote peace and security in Southeast Asia. Subsequently Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam joined to make it a Ten Member organisation. This organisation facilitates economic, political, security, military, educational and socio-cultural integration among its members and other nations in Asia. Its secretariat is located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The motto of ASEAN is “One Vision, One Identity, One Community”. ASEAN is 3rd largest market in the world - larger than EU and North American markets and has Free-trade agreements (FTAs) with China, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and New Zealand. Today’s Southeast Asia presents an example of varied cultures living together & thriving, despite region experiencing decades of conflicts. nomic aspects to strategic and security aspects. ASEAN has maintained stable relations with the great powers including China, India, Japan, Russia and the US. T he contribution towards regional peace, stability and prosperity goes to the wider Asia-Pacific region. However weak leadership, geopolitical conflicts and rivalries in the region have been some of the obstacles. Failure to deal with Intra-ASEAN security issues like Rohingya crisis, migration, human trafficking, pandemics, climate change, South China Sea and piracy have definitely weakened this organisation. In the recently held ASEAN Summit member countries agreed in principle to admit East Timor as the 11th member and the US elevated its relationship with the ASEAN to a comprehensive strategic partnership. The escalating tensions between the US and China and the lack of consensus on other critical geopolitical issues including Ukraine war and attitude of the junta in Myanmar have rendered ASEAN a bit ineffective.

India - ASEAN Relations and Issues of Interest : India-ASEAN relations can be traced to ancient times with deep cultural relations. Hinduism, Buddhism and Islam spread from India to the region and the imprint of this shared cultural heritage is also seen in art forms and architecture. India’s ‘Look East Policy’ in 1990s marked the beginning of strong India-ASEAN relations which were further cemented by ‘Act East Policy’ in 2014. India became a member of ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF), a key forum for security dialogue in Asia and a Summit-level Partner in 2002. In 2015, India has also set up a separate Mission to ASEAN with a dedicated Ambassador to strengthen engagement with ASEAN. India and ASEAN region is celebrating 30th Anniversary of their ASEAN-India Dialogue Relations in 2022. The year is embarked as ‘ASEANIndia Friendship Year’. The year also witnessed few key bilateral visits and meetings. As part of series of such meetings the latest one was ASEAN Defence Ministers Meet (ADMM Plus) of ten

India looks at ASEAN not simply as an institution of economic development but also as an integral part of India’s vision of stable, secure and prosperous Asia. Establishing trade and connectivity links with South East Asian countries via North East has been one of the focuses, some initiatives in this regard are: India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway, Kaladan Multimodal Transport and Mekong Ganga Corridor.

WAY FORWARD Delay in completing infrastructure projects - IndiaMyanmar-Thailand trilateral highway, the Kaladan Multimodal Transit and Transport Project, and the MorehMandalay Bus Services-due to various political and financial constraints, has impeded the progress of economic cooperation and this warrants immediate action.

There is a need to promote Mekong - India corridor and enhance physical and digital connectivity. Build stronger strategic, security and economic ties with greater interdependence with ASEAN countries to counter Chinese clout in the region. Need for robust maritime connectivity between India and ASEAN to realize full potentiality of trade and business activities and growth and development of strategically crucial Indo Pacific region. The two sides should also explore the unexplored domains of energy security.

money laundering charges. Shiv Sena (Uddhav) leader Sanjay Raut was granted bail by a special court in November after he had spent 100 days in jail. Raut was also arrested

in an alleged money laundering case. In Raut’s case the ED was left red-faced due to the strong remarks by the special court judge. Questioning ED’s case against Raut, the court termed his arrest illegal and rejected its plea to suspend the bail order. Coming down heavily on ED, special court said that Sanjay Raut “was arrested even though there was ‘nothing to show’ that he was a recipient of ‘proceeds of crime’”.

Sharad Pawar, NCP president, said that he will meet with PM Narendra Modi and Union HM Amit Shah to take up the misuse of a central investigative agency like ED to prevent harassment of MVA leaders. Meet he must, but Pawar should not expect the ED to be reined in.

Any action against the two companies can be initiated only after the completion of a proper investigation despite the toxic adulterant used in cough syrups. It is surprising that the Drug Controller of India does not have strict and effective regulations to keep check liberal use of ethylene glycol. While the government awaits clinical details from Gambia, in Uzbekistan the syrup was administered without a doctor’s prescription and the dose also was more than the prescribed limit.

that the way the allies of the Congress in the states of Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra etc. participated in the yatra,

the same way it will happen in Uttar Pradesh.

In fact, the Congress party has invited many opposition leaders from

UP to join the yatra. Both Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav have been invited from the Samajwadi Party and BSP chief Mayawati and general secretary Satish Chandra Mishra have been invited from the BSP. Apart from these, the Congress has also invited BJP leader and former Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma to participate in Yatra. Significantly, he is currently a professor at Lucknow University.

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is on a nine-day break. The yatra was stopped after reaching Delhi on Saturday. It was officially said by the party that all yatris have been walking continuously for four months. Thus everyone needs a little rest and also need to meet their families. It said that there is a need to repair the containers in which the passengers stay on

the way so that people do not face any problem when the journey goes towards J&K in the midst of severe cold.

Congress has given all these reasons for stopping the yatra. Although BJP leaders are raising questions that the yatra

was not stopped during festivals like Dussehra, Diwali, but the yatra was stopped to welcome Christmas and New Year.

However, the Congress has not revealed what Rahul Gandhi will do in the nine-day break? Regarding this also, it was said from the BJP side that Rahul is going to go missing for nine days. Surprisingly, many political experts and journalists also indicated that Rahul may go abroad.

The National Investigation Agency conducted searches at 56 places across Kerala on Thursday in connection with the Popular Front of India conspiracy case.

UP: Chief Secy Mishra may get extension

Lucknow: The corridors of UP’s bureaucracy are abuzz with the question as to who will be the next Chief Secretary of the state as the present Chief Secretary — Durga Shankar Mishra — is retiring on December 30 (Friday).

Durga Shankar Mishra, country’s most senior IAS officer of 1984 batch, is counted among the most trusted officers of PM Narendra Modi.

Before the UP assembly elections, a big change was brought in the state bureaucracy, replacing IAS Rajendra Kumar Tiwari. The decision was taken by the central gov-

ernment to make Durga Shankar Mishra as the Chief Secretary of UP, giving extension of service for one year.

Notably, after Mishra, IAS Rajendra Tiwari is the second most senior officer of the state who is currently serving as chairman UPSRTC and whose retirement is in February 2023!

The third name is 1985 batch IAS Shalini Prasad who is also retiring in December 2022. The fourth name is 1987 batch IAS Arun Singhal who is posted in the center and he will retire in May 2025. State’s fifth most senior IAS officer Mahesh Kumar Gupta is 1987 batch officer serv-

ing currently as ACS Energy whose retirement is to be in May 2024.

Along with this, the names of 1987 batch IAS Sanjeev Kumar Mittal, Chairman Board of Revenue and 1988 batch Alok Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Energy, New Delhi, as well as 1988 batch IAS Manoj Kumar Singh, are suddenly being discussed in the corridors of the bureaucracy.

If sources are to be believed then UP Chief Secretary Mishra may get another service extension as in view of 2024 Lok Sabha elections MIshra has proved to be extremely successful in making all the big

schemes of the Center accessible to the public.

He is considered to be a very hardworking and honest officer with a good hold in the bureaucracy in both center and state. Along with this, he will play an important role in the Global Investors Summit and G20 to be held in the year 2023.

Most of the senior officers of the state government are close to retirement while few are posted on central deputation. In such a situation the decision has to be taken by the center in which the most trusted officer Durga Shankar Mishra fits perfectly.

Something noble & sacred about our mission: Ambani

New Delhi: In his speech Mukesh Ambani highlighted the plans of the Reliance Industries.

Ambani said in his speech “Today we have come together to celebrate Reliance Family Day… …to pay homage to our Founding Chairman Shri Dhirubhai Ambani … and to revel in the spirit of togetherness and oneness as one large Reliance Family... Dhirubhai’s Family.

Today we reaffirm

our commitment to our Founder’s core principles that have sustained

and caring.

Years will roll. Decades will pass.

Reliance will continue to grow bigger and bigger, Like the proverbial Banyan Tree… its branches will spread wider… its roots will go deeper… And it will touch the lives of an ever-increasing number of Indians, enriching them, empowering them, nourishing them, and caring for them.

But we will forever remember with gratitude our Founder who

planted the seed of this Vata Vruksh forty-five years ago.

In Hindu tradition, Vata Vruksh is noble, it is sacred. Whenever I think of Reliance and the mission for which my father founded it, I believe that there is, similarly, something noble and sacred about that mission. Our mission is to make India prosperous by building world-class and worldscale businesses, and to bring happiness to the lives of all Indians.”

Gehlot’s grievance redressal

No.1 in India, says Union govt

53.80L complaints resolved in 2022, more than 10L complaints under PSKS/PGKS

Jaipur: Rajasthan has tasted huge success in solving the problems of common people. The Ministry of Public Grievance Redressal and Administrative Reforms of the Central Government has considered Rajasthan as number one in this matter in the whole country. The ministry has given Rajasthan first, Jharkhand second and Madhya Pradesh third position in the nation.

In 2022, Rajasthan resolved 53.80 lakh complaints. Notably, this ministry is directly under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and Union Minister Jitendra Kumar Singh has sent information in this regard to the states this week. This information has come to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) and Administrative Reforms Department of Rajasthan. This thing is also im-

portant for Rajasthan because the government here has now entered the election year and CM Ashok Gehlot has often focused on solving the problems of the common man. Although Rajasthan has got this success due to its readiness to redress all kinds of complaints, but the most important role in this has been

Raj police set to crackdown on New Year tipsy revellers

played by Prashasan Shehro/Gaon Ke Sang campaigns.

More than 10 lakh complaints have been resolved under both these campaigns. About 8 months ago, when CM Gehlot took a meeting of this campaign, he did not like the answers of the officers and the level of progress of the work. Then he repri-

manded two IAS officers at the level of Principal Secretary of the Local Self Government Department and Urban Development Department, Kunjilal Meena and Bhawani Singh Detha. Detha was also immediately replaced. Since then there has been improvement in the functioning of both these campaigns.

Even at the lower level, the lethargy and lack of number of officers and employees was also exposed in these campaigns. Then, on deputation from various departments, more than 100 officers and employees were engaged in these campaigns, so that the campaign could be made successful. Apart from this, the state government has also amended the rules related to the Panchayat Raj and Urban Development Department and the Autonomous Government Department more than 50 times so that people can get their house-land pattas. The result was that both the major campaigns running sluggishly became examples of success for Rajasthan government. Wherever CM Gehlot did not see satisfactory progress in the work, the district collectors were also changed continuously.

Gehlot reminds PM of Mangarh Dham status

First India Bureau

Udaipur: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot told two BJP MPs to go and explain to Prime Minister that the Chief Minister is after them to declare Mangarh Dham as national monument.

Chief Minister Gehlot said, “Prime Minister Modi had come in a mood to declare Mangarh Dham of Banswara as national monument. He also discussed this with our Chief Secretary. I also went there in the same mood. But don’t know why his mood changed. Don’t know what’s the secret. Do you know?”

The tribal talent honor ceremony was held on Thursday here. BJP’s Udaipur MP Arjunlal Meena and BJP’s Dungarpur-Banswara MP Kanakamal Katara were present. CM Gehlot said these things looking at them in his address. Although later CM said, these things are happening in family environment. CM further said we came back empty handed.

State govt... Honoring the talents, CM shared public welfare works done by state govt in last four years.

“Coaching is being provided to 20,000 students in the state through Anuprati Yojana. Similarly, through Udaan scheme, government is providing 12 sanitary napkins to women every month,” he said.

“Due to this, children of poor families are also getting education in English medium. These children will be able to work not only in the country but also abroad. Everyone is troubled by inflation. In such a situation, State govt showed sensitivity. It has been decided to give gas cylinders for Rs

500 from next April 1. Under Kisan Mitra Urja Yojana, electricity bills of about 8L farmers of state have become zero and up to 50 units of electricity is being given free of cost. In the field of social security, pension is being given to about one crore people in state,” Gehlot said. Meanwhile. CM honored Udaipur Collector Tarachand Meena with Mangarh Dham Gaurav Award. He honored Durgaram Muwal & Mahendra Kumar Meena with Nana Bhai Khant Teacher Gaurav Award, Adikavi Maharshi Valmiki Gaurav Award to Dr Kiran Meena, Mewar Veer Rana Punja Bhil Pratibha Award to Deepika Meena etc.

Rahul will spoil atmosphere of Kashmir: Thakur

From Pg 1...

Regarding the new pension scheme, he said that it is the old habit of the Gehlot government to blame others. All the states had given their consent regarding the new pension scheme, further process is on. He had promised loan waiver to the farmers, which did not happen even in four and a half years.

Rahul is going to spoil the atmosphere of Kashmir Union Minister Anurag Thakur also made a verbal attack on Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that Rahul Gandhi is going to visit Kashmir under Bharat Jodo Yatra.

Are they going there to spread love or spoil the environment?. Rahul should tell whether he is in support of the removal of Article 370 and 35A or not. He said that the history

of Congress has been of riots. Since the 1984 riots, there has been an association with the riots across the country. My question to those who have implemented Article 370, 35A in Kashmir, due to which around 50,000 people have died in the last several years – Are Article 370 and 35A, which have been abolished from Jammu and Kashmir, Does Rahul Gandhi agree to their abolition? Told Anurag Thakur that one crore six lakh tourists have come to Jammu and Kashmir in the last nine months, does Rahul welcome them?.

Defeated, sidelined, outcast...Congmen look for ‘Sukh’ from Randhawa

Pali: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot while addressing the inaugural session of 6th Sneh Sammelan of the Sadri Jain community , threw light on various projects ranging from flagship schemes of the government, visited Ranakpur Jain temple and wished for State’s prosperity.

The mega event started with great enthusiasm in Sadri town of Pali district where thousands of Jain families participated. The event will continue till December 31. Apart from prominent industrialists of Jain society, Jain families from different states were also present on the occasion.

After reaching Sadri by air from Jaipur to take part in the function, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot went to Ranakpur and visited the Jain temple. Earlier, Gehlot was felicitated and welcomed by the organisers of the Sneh Sammelan, apart from prominent industrialists of the Jain

community, on his arrival at Sadri.

After returning from Ranakpur, Gehlot attended the conference, and greeted the Jain families from all over the country with folded hands. Chief Minister Gehlot in his address, expressed happiness that he was remem-

Recounting his govt’s achievements, the CM said, "The aim is to keep the common man healthy through the Chiranjeevi Yojana. We have opened 94 colleges in four years & if a school has 500 children, there will be a College. We set an example of

good governance during Corona period. No one was allowed to sleep hungry. Single window system is working for investment in Rajasthan.”

Referring to Bhamashahs of Sadri, he said, "With the implementation of NREGA, the situation in famine

is no longer the same as before. There is a target of generating employment for 10 lakhs individuals. There is no difference between Pali & Jodhpur. Pali will get benefit of Delhi -Mumbai Freight Corridor. 1670 English medium schools have already been opened. Earlier, I was also against English. But in today’s changed era, English language is very much necessary. English medium has been introduced in government schools," Gehlot said.

Defeated candidates & BSP MLAs expressed displeasure to Randhawa claiming to be ignored by Party

Jaipur: Congress candidates who lost to Independent candidates and BSP MLAs expressed their displeasure to Congress in-charge Sukhjinder Randhawa, claiming to be ignored by party during feedback meeting. However, later they were pacified. Randhawa also took feedback from Ministers, wherein, CM Ashok Gehlot & PCC Chief GS Dotasra were also present.

Congress leader Harendra Mirdha met Randhawa and after the meeting, Mirdha said, “Now is not the time to change the face. Now work should be done to bring the Congress government.” On Harish Chaudhary’s remarks regarding RLP, he said,

Jaipur: On Thursday, senior BJP leader Om Mathur reacted after his video, where he is seen saying that even PM Modi can’t say no to his word, went viral. “I am pained that the word I said about PM Modi is being misrepresented. The wrong meaning is being taken out of a part of my speech in Parbatsar Jan Aakrosh Sabha. While speaking in Marwari, the word was said which shouldn’t have been there. MINS SHOULD CONNECT WITH WORKERS & IMPROVE THEIR WORK STYLE: RANDHAWA

C M Ashok Gehlot, Raj Cong In-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa & PCC Chief Dotasra were present in the 3- hour long meeting of the Council of Ministers in PCC War Room. Randhawa advised all ministers saying, “There have been serious complaints about some Ministers. The Ministers should connect with the workers.” He said that Ministers should improve their working style. Interestingly, during the meeting, Rajendra Gudha, who was constantly vocal against Shanti Dhariwal and Mahesh Joshi, had to sit with them. After the meeting, Pratap S Khachariyawas said that Randhawa has asked to publicise the schemes among the people.

“All this can be his personal comment. Some things can be rumor based.” Defeated Congress candidates Manish Yadav, Himanshu Katara, Subhash Mile, RC Yadav, Ashok Chandak and other Congress candidates lashed out before the in-charge and the State President, saying, “Independents have created loot in every department. All their work is also done. We fought even when we were in the opposition. Now we are suffer-

ing despite the Congress being in power.”

In the feedback meeting, Congmen opened front against ministers saying that whenever ministers visit the area, they neither ask nor inform party officials. Speaking in favour of defeated candidates, GS Dotasara said.

“They didn’t get positions in organisation, but now due care will be taken.” LoP Rameshwar Dudi said that grievances of Cong candidates be addressed.

Guv to CM: Public servants be selected in transparent manner

Jaipur: The paper leak issue was raised in the meeting of Governor Kalraj Mishra & CM Ashok Gehlot wherein Governor told CM Gehlot, “The future of lakhs of candidates is connected with this.”

Notably, the Governor has accused coaching institutes and organised criminals to be involved in paper leak

and stressed on the need to take strict action against the office bearers of recruitment institutes. Expressing concern, Mishra said, “Personnel for public service should be selected in a transparent manner. It is the constitutional and moral obligation of the state government.”

The Governor wrote a separate letter to CM regarding the paper leak case, increasing suicide

cases of students in coaching institutes in Kota and to take immediate cognizance in the matters. Governor Mishra expressed the need to make an effective action plan in this regard at the government level for effective control of coaching institutes, fixation of fees, lowering stress and establishing pressure free education system. He also suggested several measures for the same.

An interesting move of refashioning rooms by Finance Dept!

Word in the bureaucratic circles is that it has been done on the directions of the Finance Secretary

Jaipur: A new and interesting approach has been undertaken by the Finance Department in the State Secretariat. Finance Secretaries have put up sign boards outside their office rooms where ‘Finance Department’ has been written in English and Hindi.

Along with this, the Ashok emblem and ‘Government of Rajasthan’ have also been indicated.

Apart from this, the gal-

lery which houses the offices of other officials and ‘Babus’ of the De-

partment, there too a board of Finance Department has been installed

at the main entrance of the wing. Although the office of the Principal Secretary has not been ‘tempered’ with.

All the departments of the Rajasthan government are located in the State Secretariat. Offices of various departments are located in one verandah or one line or as a cluster. Another important aspect is that apart from GAD and DoP, the offices of no other Secretary have been ear-marked, so

located in State Secretariat. Offices of various depts are located in one verandah, one line or as a cluster.

much so that even the offices of Principal Secretaries of the Home and Finance Department also keep on changing.

Moreover, the room in

which Finance Secretary (Revenue) had been operating their office for the past several years, has now been taken over by a Minister. Similarly,

the office wherein the Finance Secretary (Revenue) presently sits (Room no. 4123), outside which the board of Finance Department has also been put up, was earlier the office of Secretaries of LSG, Energy, and Tourism Departments. This room is not earmarked for Finance. Word in the bureaucratic circles is that it has been done on the directions of Finance Secretary (Revenue) KK Pathak.

From Christmas Eve through New Year’s, almost all educational institutions declare a winter vacation (January 1). As the first day of the

year, Fresh Year signifies a new beginning while leaving the previous year behind, and as such, tends to bring happiness into people’s life.

HOSTING A GAME NIGHT

Even if you’re staying in this time, you don’t necessarily have to be alone yourself. Bring your group of friends or family members together and hold a card game competition all night long. Carom, Uno, or even infinite games of poker are possible options (which we did with our friends 2-3 years ago, using matchsticks for poker chips). To avoid becoming too immersed and losing track of time, you might switch between games every hour.

FIRE UP BARBEQUE

Putting a portable barbeque in your courtyard or on your patio is every-

easily found online in a range of price points and sizes. So, obtain one and put it up outside with high-quality coal.

You may use a variety of meats, including lamb, pig, lamb legs or breasts, and chicken. Paneer, capsicum, onions, tomatoes, and potatoes provide excellent grilling options for vegetarians.

PARTYING IN YOUR FINEST DRESS

You might host a dancing session in your home similar to karaoke. You might disguise the LEDs to seem like disco lights by covering them with sturdy, multicoloured cellophane. Then, order a few drinks, turn up the music, put on your finest attire, and begin the party! Additionally, be sure to get a recording done since you’ll want to remember the wild night you and your friends had. It helps you remain awake so you won’t miss the countdown, at which point you’ll leap and exclaim “Happy New Year” at the top of your lungs.

WATCH YOUR FAVOURITE SHOWS

Nothing compares to binge-watching your favourite

sion programmes with your loved ones while cozying up under a nice blanket. All you need is some beverages, popcorn, and preferably a big TV with decent sound. Dim lighting is also recommended. You might deliberately choose Christmas and New Year’s movies or TV series, for instance, watch all the Home Alone sequels or similarly theme episodes of everyone’s favourite F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

MAKING NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS

Without making any New Year’s resolutions, how do you ring in the new year? Make intriguing and meaningful ones while seated with your loved ones. To remember them in the future, you may get a billboard to write them down or capture them on a camera. This will enable you to reflect on your progress in keeping your pledges to yourself the following year.

There are many ways to make your New Year’s Eve festivities at home in 2022 valuable and special; these were the ones we thought were
